Getting a prescription in the DFW area in Texas 8 years 1 week ago #21779

I've tried an AMA doctor that had never heard of Harvoni. I've tried an alternative medicine
doctor that had never heard of it either. Neither will give me a prescription I can use for the buyers club. I can't afford to go from Dr to Dr getting turned down every time. The only thing thats kept me going is some herbs I get from a Chinese Dr who's out of the country for another month. I'm out of the herbs & running out of giving a damn. I was so happy to find a place to buy harvoni that I could afford but I can't get a prescription. The alternative Dr told me that in China having hep c is like having a cold. I told her I don't want to have a cold the rest of my life any more than I want to be a host for this virus. TIA for any help you can give me in finding a decent Dr. and for reading this rant.
I'm just really discouraged.

Hi GrimTrigger1920,

You can book an appointment online with Dr. Freeman or Dr. Devsam at gp2u.com.au to get an Australian prescription for HepC medication.
You can use this international prescription to import medication to the States.

GrimTrigger,

I've been where you are, and so have a lot of people here.

I waited a YEAR for an appointment to see a Gastroenterologist in the US to be evaluated for that treatment, and was DENIED that treatment.

My insurance company said "You may have your prescription [for Harvoni] filled, but we will not pay for it". Talk about a gut punch!

My doctor here in the US had written a prescription, but I never saw it. No one ever bothered to give it to me, or put it in my hand, because they knew it was worthless. It was never going to be filled.

But I'll tell you what, that pissed me off, really pissed me off! There was a cure, I knew it, and after decades of being sick with this shit, I wasn't about to let that miserable insurance company prick keep me from getting well.

I can't tell you what to do, but I'll tell you what I did. I got on the computer found out about FixHepC.com and had a consultation with Dr. James Freeman at, GP2U telehealth. gp2u.com.au/ Cost me about $60 US, and that was about the best $60 I've ever spent.

After that consultation, I had an honest to god prescription IN HAND, enrolled in the REDEMPTION 3 Trials, paid for my medication (around US $1600) and less than 3 weeks later I had a 12 week supply of Mylan MYHEP LVIR, which is a Gilead licensed clone of Harvoni IN MY HANDS.

By 4 weeks my viral load had gone from around 5.5 million to 35, at 6 weeks it was under 15 (that's Undetectable for all intents and purposes), was UNDETECTABLE at 8 weeks, and I completely finished that 12 week course of treatment a month ago yesterday.

You can read about my experience here: fixhepc.com/forum/patient-stories/1061-f...al.html?limitstart=0

You are in charge of your treatment now. You have arrived. Welcome to the promised land, brother.

God bless Texas.

Fitz

What Fitz says is true.
You can raise your middle finger to your AMA doctor and all the other health no-care jerks and tell them to sit on it and spin.
And your alternative doctor is full of the proverbial. I'd be getting another one but then I'm not you.
You can get cured. And from personal experience I can tell you you won't know yourself. It is so worth it.
Side effects are minimal, it is very very easy treatment.
I look forward to hearing of your progress and cure.

It is so devastating to wait ages for an appointment with hope in your heart, only to be dismissed often in a blythe manner. So many of us here have been through the same as you can see.

I also registered with GP2U and got my precription - Don't waste any more money and get yourself some genuine help. There is hope here :)
