Hi Everyone,

I wanted to share my son's story here as it may help anyone else in my position.

I had hep for probably 30 years, & finally after 4 horrible treatments with the dreaded Interferon + Ribas I got cured
but unfortunately , after trying to have a child for 10 years on IVF I finally had my boy, only to find later he also had the dreadful virus

It broke my heart & I felt guilty for the past 15 years.

He has gradually started getting hep side affects, tiredness, & getting sick a lot.

Nobody would help, I talked with different specialists/doctors, all he was offered by his uncaring specialist was the Interferon + Ribas but actually laughed at me when I asked him about the generics for him?!

How could they condone the Interferon but not the generics??
Then I found Dr James, can't tell you how unbelievably happy it made me to find him.
What a wonderful, special human being he is. A doctor who actually genuinely cares.

So...." J " (my 15 year old son) started on Twinvir 2 days ago.
NO SIDE AFFECTS AT ALL!!
His VL was around 2 million. LFT's up slightly pre treatment.

He will have his first bloods done a week into tx (treatment).
Can't wait to see what they reveal.

He seems to already have more energy, & sleeping well at night.

So let the dragon slaying begin

Great to hear it Cindi, only two days and you've seen such positive results - I'm sure that J will do well. I can only imagine the hell you've been through watching your child get sicker, and even worse knowing that there is something out there which can help him, and which the establishment refused to help you obtain. What a chance we have all been given through the club and Dr James' compassion...a sad indictment on the system when you are actually taken by surprise by that fact.

VYou must feel so much more hopeful Cindi and your heart a bit lighter as each day goes by.

yes, it's a wonderful feeling.
SO frustrating knowing those orals were out there but untouchable.
SO frustrating for so many people.

Hey Cindi! What a story!!! I'm really happy for you and your boy!!!

That's great news Cindi, prays are with your boy. I had debilitating Hep A for months when I was young and bounced back physically. No special diets etc etc. Your health knowledge will keep him in good health. Many thanks to the Doc.

Young J won't know himself in the next few weeks, good luck Cindi.

What an amazing story Cindi, he will now be able live a normal life and do whatever he wishes to do. Please keep us updated on his journey and cure. Em

J seems to have more energy & is smiling a lot more as well.
He actually says he had a "good" day today at school....usually he only shrugs or grunts!!

J has had another good day, still feels good.
I'm very unpopular with the woman who runs the other forum, I just found out.
Don't think she likes this forum, or that I've moved over to here.!
It's very stressful for me, wish she'd leave me alone.
Anyway, I wont be going back there.

As long as J gets well it will all be worth it Cindi.

Does Australia have communications harrassment laws? If so, why don't you make a formal complaint to the police? She won't remain anonymous for long if they decide to take up your case.
