It's a sad goodbye to Tassie as I sit in Melbourne waiting to board the plane to Hong Kong. What an amazing trip on so many levels.

With tegard to tx, my ALT is normal. First time in 16 years. Still waiting for the results or viral load but expecting undetected.

Farewell Honker
I loved your Tassie Treks blog and wish you a safe journey home
I'm guessing you're already there is HK home?
My eldest daughter was on scholarship at HK Polytechnic Uni last Semester she loved her six months there.
A wonderful place to live I worked there in 1983 myself! Bet it's a lot different now.
(I'm presuming now you live there haha.)
Let us all know how you fare with your results on your bloods please #flower
Mine is now UND it is a good feeling
Happies to you
I'm sure you will be back one day for another taste of our beautiful Australia
Love from Ariel

Hi,

Tuesday I start week 8 of tx. I'm feeling good, no side effects to speak of. On the positive change side, my digestion is much better and mood is more level. I have a lot more energy and able to keep up active exercise program. Fingers crossed that all of us on tx will stay in the clear. And for those considering tx, just do it.

Hi Everyone,

Another milestone reached, I cracked open the third bottle of Hepcivir today. Feeling good and carrying on with life. I feel very lucky that the tx has gone so smoothly. Fingers crossed for all of us for long term success.

Hi Everyone,

I started week 11 today. The last few weeks have been uneventful with respect to the treatment for which I am grateful. I am very aware that the virus is gone. My energy level is good and I have been able to keep up my hiking uphill and yoga routines. I still get tired but not really fatigued like I used to. I thought it was normal but it was the disease. So will be happy to finish the course. I wll wait until 12 weeks EOT to test as I think I will know if I have relapsed. In the unfortunate event of that, I will probably wait a year before retreating as new protocols in the pipeline. Best wishes,to all of us.

Hi Honkers,

It's great to hear everything is going smoothly. You can't have done more to achieve an ongoing good result.
I've continued treatment for a further 12 weeks due to a slower response but I am also really aware that the virus is gone. What a great feeling it is. I have also maintained a focus on fitness during the treatment and I think it really helps physically and mentally.

May the good times and good health continue.
