Ahm s'praised Oor Wullie wasnae eggsilde fae no swalleyin! Were all those results from the same lab? They seem to jump around a lot. Mine moved from month to month but recently the ALT/AST were fairly steady over a year or so. I have old tests where they checked my lipase but seems unremarkable and doesn't get checked currently. | Voloro - You are tooo funny
I am with you here, lost loads of weight and current problems around the pancreas area which no Dr seems interested in. getting a new gastro Dr who I hope to discuss with - Fingers crossed. As mentioned in another post somewhere - Many HepC patients seem to have fatty liver and there is much online info re this, it seems , there is much elss info on us skinny lizzies. Under cholesterol, there are "triglycerides" - Mine are way too low, looked it up, bingo - low triglycerides can cause "malabsorption and malnutrition" - Saw a dietician, he just told me to "eat more". Anyway, wishing "Oor Wullie" the very best results and thank-you for the laughs GT1a Dec14 F2/8.7 VL 900000-2.5M Jan16 Hepcivir-L MonkMed/Redemption Baseline: VL 913575 Alt 76 Platelets low Wk2 VL1157 Alt 23 DET Wk 8 VL 32 Alt19 'In the slow lane' June16 Fibro 5.7 F0/1 LIF 1.5 Wk 11 VL<12 Alt 13 Det/Unq Extending tx 12 wks Mylan Sofo/Dac MonkMed Wk 14 VL <12 Det/Unq Wk 16 VL UNDETECTED Wk 22 + 4 Wks Sunprevir FixHepC Wk 24 UNDETECTED Alt 13 Wk 12 post tx SVR12 Wk 26 SVR24 Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC The following user(s) said Thank You: Vororo |

This oil is 90% saturated fat so be careful. Only about half of coconut oil's saturated fat is lauric acid, a medium-chain triglyceride. People can more easily digest medium-chain triglycerides and convert them to energy. That said, because it's so high in saturated fat, even the purest, most natural coconut oil could be problematic. Coconut oil isn't as healthful as vegetable oils like olive oil and soybean oil, which are mainly unsaturated fat and therefore both lower LDL and increase HDL. I wouldn't go to a website the promotes or sells the stuff. You only hear good things not the bad. There are numerous studies about olive oils benefits but so far coconut oil consisted of short-term studies to examine its effect on cholesterol levels. We don't really know how coconut oil affects on say like heart disease. Saturated fat the liver does not like. Good to cook with once in a while he boiling or smoke point of olive oil isn't as high as coconut oil though. So I wouldn't recommend olive oil for frying. Most olive oils in particular extra virgin / cold pressed are only good for salads or low heat cooking.
