Now you see them.

Now you don't.

So that’s it. Other than 3 lonely little Riba waiting to be taken with dinner, I’m done.

Thanks to everyone for their support especially my doctors, Richard Ralph and Mark Wilson. And to Doc James and all the other health professionals who have seen these drugs for the breakthrough they are and responded by being reminded why they became doctors and nurses in the first place instead of being cowed by Big Pharma, government and their own fear of the unknown.

But especially, thanks to Greg Jefferys for being so clever and brave and big hearted and for giving me my life back (and to Google for being so damn good at what you do and allowing me to find him when no one wanted to tell me more than a few precious tidbits of information about him!)

Whither now?

To infinity and beyond!

Well, at least, SVR hopefully.

Hey "Chester"
I showed this to you while I was staying at your place. I didn't tell you I had English lyrics for it.
Here they are.
____________________________________________________________________________________

Now for just what purpose is it I am living?
Cloudy days, all a haze that rolls on by, ya ...

This weak malaise, this sense of pain
What does it gain, and where does it get me?

Can't drown myself in yesterday
Today I write a dream
Confused as it may seem, ya ya

All the pretty twinkling stars that shine before the dawn
Now have they really gone?
Or moved on to tomorrow?

Tomorrow never knows
It's Happy Line

Now just what is it that I should be believing?
These spent days end in ways that can't be seen, ya ...

Yet as I gaze into the night
Somehow a light, not darkness I'm facing

And everybody has a face that they call "happiness"
Can mine really be seen?
Though I can't laugh, it seems, ya ya

With a passion for the future burning in my heart
With rose tints o'er my eyes
I'll try to laugh and smile

Tomorrow never knows

Can't drown myself in yesterday
Today I write my dream
Confused as it may seem, ya ya

All the pretty twinkling stars that shine before the dawn
Now have they really gone?
Or moved on to tomorrow?

Tomorrow never knows
It's Happy Line

Now for just what purpose is it I am living?

It's Happy Line
Words and Music ... Yui

No my "little lovelies" are the drugs. Not you guys. I'm not gonna just eat and run.

Not that you aren't a little lovely too Joy.

I should add that I think the downside of the Riba has been kicking in over the last two weeks. Been short of breath, bit fatigued and right quadrant abdo discomfort. Which is disconcerting but as I understand you can't go backwards on treatment, I'm not letting it worry me.

Anyway, I'm going to get an FBC done tomorrow when I go in for my eot VLs and will report back the results for the benefit of others on riba. Doubt I'm anemic but like Greg, I think I might be heading that way. I had an FBC at 2 weeks when everything was comfortably normal so the comparison will be interesting. It hasn't been unpleasant being so close to the end. But if it is the riba, don't think I'd like to be doing 24 weeks of the stuff.

Really, the entire treatment has been a doddle.

Hi Chester,

So glad you've finished, or will be tonight after those last ribas!

The ribas always knock you around a bit because they destroy the red blood cells.
They hit much harder though if paired with the Ifn.

No wonder you feel it.

Hope you get your strength back soon.

And I really hope so much that you get a SVR :cheer:
Thank you you so much for all your help to me, it really made a difference being able to talk to you on the phone.

Good stuff Chester good to see people coming to the end of treatment with so few side effects well compared to the past treatments anyway. It's also good to see someone so passionate about generics although I have never mentioned it you posts here and elsewhere helped encourage me to chase down these meds.

Good Luck

Love your pictorial farewell Chester heh...great that you will see the end of the Riba too. Yes thank god we aren't condemned to the hell of the old treatments and their length, now that we have the means. Hope you do well mate, and all the very best for achieving SVR :)

And props for rekindling some fond old memories :P
