I have always asked as many Drs as I can Dr Debasis at MonkMed, Dr Freeman, my GP and the odd NHS England doc. I also read up a bit and then try to make an informed decision.

Re rash, since coming off tx I have had a bad rash on fingers, it could be down to humid damp weather it may not, but I had it pre tx, went during tx and back post tx.

We've had alot to deal with one way or another, unsurprising that body and mind respond to this? and if we've carried the virus for many years, I guess we can't expect the damage to fix itself immediately? I guess the DAAs attack the virus and so indirectly should help related ailments, especially those caused by inflammation, but after tx we are left with the long term issues to address.

Hopefully, these will improve with time once the virus is eradicated? but maybe not overnight.

Just so you know I'm still getting a little red after taking the tablets but am feeling great.

I'll be seeing a nurse next week for my 1st bloods (2 wks) and he can have a look at rash.

Thanks guys...I'm sorry I got stressed...it's just been a bit of a rough ride since tx finished.
A lot of what I believed to be improvements were actually sx of the DAAs. The good sides departed quickly and the bad ones linger on.
I'm actively investigating issues that may be contributing, and Dr Freeman has been kind enough to order me all sorts of blood tests.
My prescribing doc was not interested in doing any such investigations and looked quite offended when I reported sides. None of her other patients had any sides!
I've given up on her now. Specialists of course are distant creatures...benevolent at best, and clueless really. But it's all in hand.
I have come across quite a lot of people who suffer more afterwards than during tx, so it's a thing. And it's easier to handle when you know that. I found tx itself handleable, including the bizarre rashes, which at least weren't itchy.
And I'm freaking undetected at 6 weeks post, so there's that

My clinical nurse didn't think it's the tx, which I don't agree with. Anyway he was not unduly worried, nor am I.
The best news is that after just 2 weeks treatment I am already UND.
I'm really pleased.

i'm delighted!

I am treating early and am fortunate to have a low VL to start with but still it's great to have such a positive result so soon.

my skin is a little less red, but I can still see there is a slight redness.

Maybe, it will gradually go away as my body becomes used to the drugs.
