Let's face it. $100k of medicine for $1k seems too good to be true. In Australia, the advertising of prescription medication and the use of testimonials is banned. That's why we geo blocked a whole lot of stuff - it kept the regulators off our backs. BUT... we have a new website in the works and it will operate free of these restrictions so the request is simple. We want some faces, comments and first name, city this is me testimonials to help other patients believe what you know to be true. If you are up for it please let me know. It won't say "hey stalkers here I am" but it does need to say "I am a real person and this sh*t is real - here's my take"

It would be good to have this in many languages

Bonjour, je suis Bruce de France et ...
Hallo, ich bin Bruce aus Deutschland und ...
Ciao, sono Bruce da Italia e ...
Hallo, ik ben Bruce uit Nederland en ...
Hola, soy Bruce de España y ...
Olá, sou Bruce de Portugal e ...
Hej jeg er Bruce fra Danmark og ...

Substitute Bruce for your real name, but if you're wondering "Why Bruce?" it's just because in Australia we are all called Bruce, at least according to Monty Python.

YMMV

Hi Dr F.
I'm happy to contribute and I'll work out what I can live with when the time comes. Epponnee-Rae would be a good alternative to Bruce (Kath and Kim reference for our overseas friends). :)

I haven't forgotten about this Dr J. As discussed I didn't over think it but it's turned into a memoir! It's currently having some serious editing. ;)

I'm bumping this back up, as I was a bit confused at the start about what to send.
The point is, people need real people like us to trust this unusual process: all that is needed is- name (first) and just the basic story that people are looking for " My (first) name is..... I bought generics through Dr Freeman/ FixhepC- it arrived no problem- I am now cured- or, it fine to say, I am on treatment, or just finished treatment- (doesn't matter where in that SVR timeline you are. We know the stats, that they are identical) it is the doubt and fear that this is true we need to convince, and for people at the start of that, SVR is a long way off...... they want/need to know that generics are real, there is no hold up- the money doesn't disappear, basically- and they will arrive. What happens next, once they are there- is the same no matter if you get generics, or branded meds through insurance or whatever- is take it and see, with excellent odds. But getting the meds safely is what people are looking for reassurance about, and that is what these messages need to convey- yes, they turn up. Add your own special take on that.
"your story could be the key to unlocking someone else's prison- don't be afraid to use it"
Genotype 3 30 years, 2x treatment interferon/ribavirin non responder. Cirrhosis 17 years. Fibroscan, decompensating, 40 down to 22 by 29/3/16- now down to 6.5, normal, no cirrhosis. Started Buyers Club Sof/Dac 14 Nov 15. SVR 12 29/0716

I totally agree Hazel. I know when I first stepped into the world of FixHepC it was the stories of others that helped me make the final decision and supported me along the way. No different really than going on google to look for reviews from real people on all sorts of products.
I'm hoping to get mine to Dr J today. My problem was that once I started writing the whole messy story came out so I'm editing it back to something shorter and to the point. I see it as a way of paying my good luck forward.

I'm in.

I'll need clear directions.

And my Gastro in the U.S. basically told me, "it's only a flesh wound".

Had virus since early 1970s..

Am SVR 12 weeks. Panovir from Incepta. The entire process was a breeze.

If I hadn't found fixhepc, and stayed within the system in the U.S., my friends would be carrying me into the Gastro's office like the "Dead Parrot" and he would likely say, I was just resting.

You're the best Doc.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so how about we just rearrange what you just said?

Hi I'm Lily and I've had Hep C since the early 1970s.

My Gastro in the U.S. basically told me, "it's only a flesh wound".

I am now cured via Panovir from Incepta. The entire process was a breeze.

If I hadn't found fixhepc, and stayed within the system in the U.S., my friends would be carrying me into the Gastro's office like the "Dead Parrot" and he would likely say, I was just resting.

(And then maybe an observation about the before and after - before you felt like yada yada and now you fell like yada yada)

We would probably need to add these two videos to explain "It's only a flesh wound" and "dead parrot"

YMMV

Hi Dr James, Gaj, Anybody?

I thought I would attach my story that I sent to you as it may help people as an outline (obviously they don't need to bang on as much as I did!). I've tried uploading the word document but it disappears with my post. I didn't think I was that bad with technology but clearly adding or inserting the word document isn't working for me. Any hints?

Hi Coral,

What is the format (file name extension) of your document? i.e. What are the last three or four characters after the dot such as "coralsjourney.###" If you used "Word" it will probably start with .do followed by two more characters.

The other option is to just copy and paste it into a quote (the little "speech bubble" icon in the post editor).

Hi Gaj,

It's a docx document. Do I need to convert it to something like PDF?

Hi Lilyfield - Love your dead parrot comment and congratulations on your SVR12.

I sent my story off to Dr James last week and have attached a copy if it helps you and others.
I tried to keep it personal rather than broad comments as I think that’s what people want to see when they are deciding whether to take that first step. The main thing is that we spread the word so that our fellow HepCers know that there are treatment options available to them.

Hi Coral,
Thank you for attaching you story. I just opened it and saved to file. This will be a great help. Guess my brain fog is still lifting.
Thank you Gaj! You don't know how supportive your posts have been during my Quest.
