Hi everyone,
Some of you will remember me talking about a Vietnam Vet friend who is on his second liver transplant & seemed to have been forgotten about by his Liver specialists , neglected.
My hubby & I went with him to his last specialists appointment & stuck up for him, & pushed a little.
Dr James said he'd help him with Generics, but his specialist kind of freaked out, worry about his rejection drugs interacting with the orals.
But now I'm so happy to say, he's been given the orals,

and he started a week ago.
He's on Sof/ Dac for 24 weeks.
He said he's feeling good although he's been a bit tired.
He's stopped his reflux drugs & feels ok.
I'm so happy for him. It's about time they helped him with this virus.
He's such a lovely guy & all he did wrong was serve his country in a nightmare war & still suffers from that fact mentally.
I'm surprised though that they're not keeping a closer eye on his bloods, he doesn't have bloods done until 4 weeks into tx.
We are watching him though, talking to him every day, & he seems a lot happier.
We make sure he's eating properly & drinking lots of water etc.
SO excited that he's at last getting treatment
My J ( J the Dragon Slayer) is doing well, 2 & half weeks to go for 12 wks post tx bloods

He now has a
girlfriend !! his very first. Being virus free has changed his life
Good luck to all.
Love Cindi x
