I like to think that I'm a little more balanced than you, but you'd probably describe me as less exiting.

I don't think Jung would have approved of the Myers Brigg.
It isn't really faithful to the true meaning of introversion and extraversion, especially in that test formula.
I am an INFP if anything but that test doesn't agree.

Well, Jung was always a bit inhibited for my tastes and it is about your preferred style that you are most comfortable with rather than how you always act. For example, if you manage to drag me along to a large, noisy party then don't expect me to sit in a corner like some wallflower 'cos I will make the most of the situation.

Freud and Jung were talking one day when Freud suddenly said to Jung, "Dammit man, did you just fart?"

To which Jung replied, "Of course I did. Do you think I always smell like this?"

What I mean by that is that Introverted/Extraverted has nothing to do with how sociable you are.
There are plenty of sociable introverts.
It's more about where you find your meaning. If you take your meaning from the outside world you are an extravert, and if you find it within you are an introvert. What the upshot of that is, that Introverts are very self absorbed...they look for answers within and when they find them they act on their own volition. Extraverts are more likely to look for answers outside themselves and to outside authorities.
For this reason its probably unlikely that anyone here is an Extravert.

It isn't on the briggs myer test but I do my best
We used to do this test on PD days as an "ice breaker" working in the Education sector here
Jungian theory is fun taken with a splash of good humour
As undergrads we were drilled on many theorists, Skinner, Freud, the usual suspects
Possibly the most useful tools once at the coalface were those that helped identify goals of people's behaviour and what could be pushing them.

Pretty sure my Briggs Myer score would have changed a lot over the past thirty years since undergrad and then those random PD activities too. Wonder how we would all score before tx and after clearing and getting SVR ?
