Hi everyone,

Thought I'd share my second post mostly because I think it's helpful for all the new people finding information like I was a few weeks back.

My Dr in London recommended supplementing Harvoni with ribavarin. My past experience of that drug was with interferon for 72 weeks. So I was a little apprehensive if I'm honest.

The good news is at my two week blood test (which was actually day 13 due to schedules) I have just found out I am undetectable. I'm astounded and in shock as the last time I did treatment it took till week 24 to become undetectable.

The past two weeks have been ok, I've had a few mild headaches and my sleep has been disturbed a little. The interesting part is I have energy and the desire to go to the gym - up until 2 years ago I went 5 x a week but just started to hit walls with energy all the time and slowly stopped. In the past two weeks I've done four Pilates classes. Look out 2017 I'm going to hit the gym hard.

In terms of when I take my pills I find taking Harvoni at 6:30am when I get up for work is fine. The ribavarin is split 2 x 3 a day plus my HIV meds and something to help me sleep in the evening. I need to sleep to do my job

Work-wise I've been fine, tired towards the end of the day but getting on with it.

I did drink way too much alcohol - numbing out reality - but other than last Friday I haven't touched a drop in 3 weeks. The hangover on Saturday was hideous!!

My advice is drink lots of water, be positive and rest when you can.

Love to all ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wow London_R - that is a great result :) :) I'm always particularly happy to read about the good news for those of you that suffered through treatment with interferon. Keep hitting that gym. #flower #flower

Thanks @Coral for your kind words. I'm really postive everything works out. So far, so good and it's so much easier to tolerate than interferon.

I just read your bio - did you fail the new treatment & are currently on another course?

L_R - yes unfortunately I was one of the small percentage of people that relapsed (after 12 weeks of Sof/Led followed by 12 weeks of Sof/Dac) so I've got some tough critters. The new treatment is going well and you've reminded me that it's about time I wrote a post and updated my bio. :)

@Coral - really sorry to hear that. After failing previous treatment I know it's tough. But you seem positive & determined so best of luck with your journey back to health #love
