Thanks Vororo, I thought I knew a little about the subject previously but this taught me far more.......now I just need to read up on the 99% I still don't get! Seriously though, a fascinating video that gave me a better understanding of the theory behind NS4B/NS5A inhibitors, et al. Thanks G <Edit> Joy, as I was watching I thought it should have some early Pink Floyd as backing music. Thankyou Vororo The video is just amazing - it gave me a visual insight into replication factorings that are so very complex I now 'think' I understand why the new DAA's are such a scientific revelation gt 1a VL 6m F2/3 FibroScan - 9KPa in 2011 and 7KPa in 2015 sof/dac 10 December for 12 weeks pre tx alt 85 ast 51 4 wk alt 34 ast 31 UND <35 8 wk alt 29 ast 32 UND <15 12wk alt 25 ast 25 EOT 3.3.16 SVR24 UND KPa5.3 F0 in normal range I am well .forever grateful to fixhepc | |

Thanks for that… I didn't understand much however its given me and insight as to how complex HCV is and the incredible research that has gone into the discovery of DAA's not only for HepC but for other life threatening diseases. Science is truly remarkable. It shows how NS5B, an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, has been identified as the core of the replication complex - which possibly explains why sofosbuvir is a constant DAA throughout the treatments - working in tandem with various other inhibitors possibly selected through trial results on the basis of genotype. Of course not being educated in this field - my hypothesis could be total horse s---t. The video is superbly designed and medical training has moved to a whole new level with current technology. Fem.
