The cynic in me says that it's a great way to publicly claim to be helping a whole nation while simultaneously getting research data for not too many $$$ and no significant impact on Gilead's commercial markets.

But best wishes to the Icelandic heppers for their luck.

But still, if you take away the well deserved cynicism that should be 1150 off the 185,000,000 need to treat, so now it's only:

185,998,850

And the total treated with Gilead medications will jump from 613,000 to 615,000 in the last 2 years.

At this rate the job should be done by the year 2618

HI GAJ yes you are right, I guess Gilead were in need of some good press....

rumour has it that their reputation has been a little bruised as of late.

As for the magazine yeah its very good - its a national publication and you can find it in every liver clinic, most GP,s waiting rooms and outpatient clinic in New Zealand.
