So the first wait is over.

There are 2 more big waits.

The wait for the 4 week PCR to provide you confidence the drugs are working and

The wait for SVR when you stop the drugs and we see if the virus is gone for good.

There's lots of support here from people who have lived it.
YMMV

Hi xaverl70,

You never said what your Genotype was, but unless you are Genotype 3, you will most likely be cured :+1:
Gt 1a, F0, VL 6.5 million, AST 59, ALT 62
Started Twinvir 1/15/16
6 wk. labs, VL UND, AST 27, ALT 20
EOT labs, VL UND, AST 23, ALT 19
SVR 16, VL UND, AST 28, ALT 17
SVR 24, VL UND, 10/8/16
SVR 125, VL UND, 9/22/18

And even if you are Genotype 3 the odds of being cured are still pretty good, particularly if you have long enough treatment.

xaverl70,

Great to hear you finally got your meds. That was your first and hardest wait probably. Now for the good ones.
keeping my fingers crossed for you. I go for a 4 week test next monday the 27th. I'll start posting my
results soon after.

Again, I'm glad you got your meds. Us southern boys need to stick together LOL.

Good luck with TX,
happi
