I am 1b,treatment naive,vl off the scale, enzymes not far above top of normal range, positive for, as far as I can quess ,38yrs ,fibroscan 14.1.fibrosis unknown but assumed to be f3/f4.no sign of cirrohsis when ultrasound done 3yrs ago . when I was told to wait, but probably there now.3 wks into tx with no side effects worth mentioning, and feeling better than I have for donks.I can really feel this stuff killing off the virus day by day.Cant wait to see what the 4wk test results produce.

Hi Miko, Do you mind me asking, are you well-built? It would be interesting to know which patients have no/more side effects according to weight, although I understand that not all may wish to share, but I would find it interesting as I am very tiny. LG

London Girl,Im 70kg5'9" slim and like to think I"m very fit, which I'm determined to maintain, whatever, and which I think is the real key as to why my journey so far has been easy.I know a lot of you out there are suffering.I just keep telling myself every time I down some of those pills I hear the dying virus scream in rage. Its been said before on these forums that except for riba, dosages are one size fits all.Probably as more and more info on dosages appears that will change. But that is Dr Freemans area of expertise.

Hi Hamilton

We tried to chat the other day but the system was clunky. I'm emilio, geno 1b and currently day 20 of sof/dac and only doing 12 weeks at this stage. F2/3 approximate. Treated before with IFN/Riba and polymerase inhibitor in 2008 for 63 weeks. While F3/4 doesn't quite make you cirrhotic it's getting up there and I can see the need to hit this longer and harder maybe. What's your VL? starting. I was considering extending to 24 weeks but will make that decision in a week or so, just see how my body responds. In regard to the ribavirin, if it were me I wouldn't use again as a geno 1 but I do see the benefits in leading out with Rbv and leading in for that matter. I believe riba is still a must with geno 3 and moderate damage and extension. Em
Geno 1b F2/3 snce early 80s. Treated in 2008_9 for 63 weeks on INF/Riba. Commence Sof/Dac on 6 October 2015 and completed 18 weeks of tx. UND at 4-6 weeks, UND at EOT, SVR 2, SVR 6 and SVR 12 on 6 May 2016.
