I wondered about that, now that I’m more aware of treatment options. When I started, I was offered only the regimen I’m on. It may be too late now, I have only 3 more weeks of treatment. I wish I had known then what I know now.

for what its worth, i took no ribavirin, i had it since 80’s, and sofosbuvir and daclatasvir has seemed to have done the job.
got my test results from 1 week past the 12 weeks eot, and was UND and was UND at 4 and 8 weeks too.best of luck to all 2B’s and or course all the other b’s and a’s and c’s and rest of the alphabet…
yes we are exotic, 2b or not 2b..but .i think now im no longer 2b,,,..im just me

Have you done any labs while on tx? You can post them in your signature in your profile.
Best wishes to SVR and hope you are not having too many sides from the riba.

I am also 2B and also no longer 2b I am on week 15/24 of Sof/Dac and was UND at 4wks. I have cirrhosis according to my Specialist although I have never had Fibroscan, hence the 24 weeks treatment.
Best of luck with your treatment Have you had any tests to see if you have cleared since you only have 3 weeks to go? I Hope all is going well

MY ETERNAL GRATITUDE TO GREG JEFFERYS & DR FREEMAN21 February 2016 at 3:51 am #12365Hi, I’m so glad to see you are doing well. I had labs before starting treatment, then viral load and LFT’s in 4 weeks. He did another viral load a week later because it had decreased but was not UND; it went to <15 (UND) the second time.
I'm supposed to have labs again after end of treatment (2 weeks from now, I miscalculated), and again in 12 weeks.
I wish I had known about this site before I started. It was considered unusual for insurance to approve as much as 16 weeks, I would have done more meds if I'd had the chance. I can even put up with the Ribavirin.
The lab values are under my signature, if I did it right.

Chances are you will SVR but retreatment with 24 weeks Sof+Dac should work well with no prior NS5A exposure and is far less than most co-pays.
YMMV
21 February 2016 at 1:15 pm #12371I have fingers & toes crossed for a good result for you
And as Dr Freeman says, you have options here if you want to make sure.

I am also finishing my 24 weeks with my last pills this Thursday. That makes 12 weeks of Sof/Led and 12 weeks of Sof/Dac.
It will be strange but good not to have that nightly ritual. Good luck to all for the next stageCoral
