I was gutted when I read the news he’d died yesterday I’m a huge fan since I was a kid
his music was the background of my early years.I thought he looked incredible for his age it came as such a shock as he’d kept it to
himself how ill he was.Very, very sad.

12 January 2016 at 11:11 pm #8817His concerts were fantastic. I don’t remember much at the time , but that was what I was told.
RIP, David.

He was a genius and left the world a better place.

MikeAt least you remember the date and where you were……I saw him in Tucson
with my then GF who I remember started to walk toward the stage with her
arms open wide. Security got her before she could reach the stage. She loved
him and was mesmorized by the song that he was singing. Naturally, I do not
remember. As the saying goes ” If you remember the 70’s, you did not have a
good time”. As you state, he was a genius and a showman.

SVR2413 January 2016 at 2:28 pm #8945So very sad Alsdad & Sirch. Been a fan since very young & earliest albums, could hardly bring myself to reply here at first I was so upset.
He gave us so much.
Mick Ronson guitarist from Spiders from Mars also died young from liver cancer and Trevor Boulder bassist from SFM died of Pancreatic cancer young too Not forgetting Lou Reed who Bowie produced – Liver cancer / HepC .
The epidemic for baby-boomers is rearing it’s torturous ugly head I fear.
The need to test people born pre 1965 has never been greater.
God bless Mr Bowie

Thank-you Tim, Dr Debasis @ MonkMed & Dr Freeman @ Fix HepC13 January 2016 at 3:44 pm #8956I’ve started looking nervously at photos of Iggy. He looks fine, but then again, so did David Bowie.
13 January 2016 at 3:53 pm #8958So if DB died of liver cancer are we all thinking the obvious? . So many famous people have hep c I always feel its such a shame that more isnt done to promote the cause through fame and its power. However its very personal as well …the dilemma
Geno1a 35years fibrosis 2 or 3 different results from different hospitals ??
24weeks mesochem sof/led as unsure of fibrosis status.
currently UND. No bad side effects
Have svr12 … waiting for svr 24
I now have SVR 36 weeks.13 January 2016 at 4:03 pm #8959Lou Reed died of hepc-related liver failure. 80% of liver cancers are caused by hepb or c. David Bowie made no secret of his drug usage in the first half of his career (I believe the move to Berlin, that spawned the ‘Low’ and ‘Heroes’ albums was, in part, to get away from the drugs scene).
13 January 2016 at 4:26 pm #8963Yep, Bowie was actually insane before he left the US if you watch the interview on
the Dick Cavet show before he left the US its clear he was out of his mind I don’t
believe he was a IV drug user. No, I don’t think Bowie had Hep C if he did I can see why he’d say nothing the man was not someone who
wanted to share that part of his life with the public.Bowie stopped using prior to Berlin and yes Low and the three albums in that followed
all came about as he stopped using. He got into AA around the 80’s he was clean for at least 30 years or more.
I met Iggy a few times in Ireland in the late 90’s he looked as well as someone like him can
