Yesterday I read a post about 3a relapses, saw Dr James’ response & saw on some related posts that a few extra weeks would be a good idea. Just as I was on a five day count down to EOT (12 weeks). Anyway, after losing sleep last night, I went ahead and ordered a 6 week supply. The thing is, I’ll run out of what I have. There will be about a 4 day lapse of TX. Does that seem terrible to anyone? Has anyone else missed a few days during TX?
    Thanks for any feedback.

    Cheers

    Hi MtGoat,

How are you shipping? Would FedEx door to door help shorten timing? I can usually get US to Aust in about 5-6 days including w/ends.

Hey Gaj, I think it’ll only take 5 or 6 days, but I won’t be returning from a trip for a couple days after that. I’ve already laid money down for the trip & leaving in 3 days. I could take what I have left every other day. But, just hard to know what’d be best.

Why not spread your remaining doses out and take them every 48 hrs. The meds have a 1/2 life of 27 hrs which means they stay in our system for many weeks at a reduced dosage.

Or split them and take 1/2 per day.

    cheers

Rationing is definitely the way to go, but rather than every other day (and provided you’re up for it) if you have a shortfall the best way would be to open the capsules/split the tablets in 1/2 and take 1/2 a dose each day. Not as good as a full dose every day, but much better than a complete break. Failing that every 48 hours is a good option.

    YMMV
