    @karenb

    Took my last, 84th pill of generic Harvoni today guys!
    Haven’t done a viral load yet, as I figured it would just cost me money and not influence my treatment decissions anyway. I just did liver enzymes test: before, a month into and at the end of treatment and those look better than ever since I’ve started the treatment:

    January 2019 AST 48 ALT 64
    June 2019 (just before starting the pills) AST 53 ALT 103
    July 2019 (32 into treatment) AST 21 ALT 25
    September 2019 (after 3 months of treatment) AST 18 ALT 12

    I havent had them so low ever!
    I will now wait for 12 more weeks to do the viral load test. Hoping and praying that one to bring the desired results…
    I have otherwise felt no side effects while on Harvoni, as a matter of fact my whole blood count looks much better now, including my iron defficiency issue being now resolved (without taking suplements).

    Wanted to share these good news here. Will be back in 3 months with the next update:)

    Good health & all best to all. There is always a hope! :)

    Congratulations Karen on finishing your treatment, and also on your liver enzymes result, it looks great :+1: Things are definitely on the right track for you, especially with your blood count and iron deficiency issues resolved, I think you should feel quite optimistic about your test result 12 weeks from now. Looking forward to excellent news from you.

    Hello KarenB,

    Your enzymes look great. You can have a sneak peek at them before SVR12 if you are worrying. If they stay down you are good.

    @karenb

    Thank you Dr James,
    I do start worrying and wondering what happens with the shitty virus, as I didnt do any viral load during treatment, especially since finishing the pills (did any remain that will start to reproduce again!?) but I guess I’ll need to be patient for 12 more weeks and do the PCR test. The enzymes look good now versus before, but than, I also used to have them within the normal ranges for years after the infection, so I know that, even though they are a good sign of the liver health, they are still not a 100% proof that nothing’s going on behind…..

    Lets keep patient for a while more:):)

    All the best!

    Hi KarenB,

    The waiting for the results can be hard. Trust the statistics – the odds are very much in your favour.

    Best wishes

    Hi KarenB,

    I’m just catching up with some posts. Congratulations on taking those 84 pills! You have some good looking results so there are lots of reasons to be very optimistic. I’ve been where you are now trying to maintain some patience in the in-between times. Looking forward to hearing your results in the next few months.

    Dear Coral,
    thanks sooo much for your words! I truly truly hope to bit it with this first attempt, but than, I’ve seen all kinds of different journeys you guys here have taken, so I’m somehow making myself mentally prepared for both outcomes….
    Trying to focus on other things & keep myself busy for the next 3 months. I plan to do the PCR mid December and I will surely be back here to share.
    Wish me luck:) <3
