    No problems with coffee, thankfully. Prior to starting Tx, if I hadn’t had one before around midday I’d get the worst headache (and I never have more than 2 a day!) but that seems to have stopped
    Strangely, my body seems to be enjoying chilli.
    Too much red meat makes me feel uncomfortable
    Different strokes……

    That’s very interesting, but not the complete story imnsho.
    Supplements may not fix your liver or reduce your VL but the virus impacts other things as well. Your liver, immune system, digestion etc are compromised and that’s where supplements can help.

    I was asking on behalf of a very dear friend. Made it through Peginf +riba….. just (long story).
    She has since had a bout of HCC. Was able to have it removed, but it does come back and she doesn’t have enough healthy liver to regenerate and can’t have any more cut out. Not unique I’m sure but it still sucks.

    So if someone has had HCV and now has very advanced fibrosis and has had a liver cancer that will come back and they don’t have enough unaffected liver to regenerate, could these DAAs help repair their fibrosis?

    I should probably also say that although it has been all sunshine, rainbows and happy dolphins for me I don’t know if that’s the same for everyone. I’m fortunate to have minimal liver scarring and I believe this is a big factor in the speed and effectiveness of the treatment.

    Thanks for your comment and good wishes
    I am on the Greediad branded (i.e. not generic) Harvoni. I was all set to go down the generic path but when I told the doc at RPA in Sydney they said don’t do that we will put you on the branded stuff as soon as it comes onto the PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme in case you are not in Australia)
    I don’t know the GP2U process but I’d guess if you got your meds through them you would be guided by their recommendations.
