That’s great news vedruss. It’s just great to see that gold in the letterbox. Good luck with the treatment.
Hello and Happy Anniversary Ariel…it’s hard to believe that it is two years ago that so many of us began the beginning of the next part of our lives without Hep C.
I totally agree it was not always easy going but my goodness isn’t life good without that virus? My sense of time wasted in a brain fog spurs me on to try to live life to the fullest.
Happy to hear your happiness Ariel. xx
Hi Redhead,
Congratulations for Day 26!! One of the joys of these new treatments (although some are not so new now) is the minimal side effects for most people. I also had moments of thinking it must be too good to be true but I am now cured so ultimately the medication did the job really quietly and really well.
Looking forward to seeing your results.
Hi catemae,
Congratulations on starting your treatment. When I was on the medication it was sometimes hard to tell what could be attributed to side effects, what was a normal and unrelated illness and what could be attributed to the ongoing effects of Hep C. I do remember feeling a bit fluey initially but I imagined it to be the first battalion of soldiers going in hard and fast on the virus and that helped!
You sound like you have a great positive attitude and I hope that you feel better soon. Believe me you will feel progressively better and better as you clear this virus. Drink heaps of water, try to get some good sleep and be kind to yourself. You’re on your way.
Hi Vedrus and Welcome,
I’m a tribe member (different genotype) who has been cured by the medication organised throught GP2U and FixhepC.
You are absolutely right that it is really straight forward. Take the medication and be cured.
Sometimes there are a few side effects but nothing we can’t handle.
Good luck – i look froward to hearing about your results.Right back at you Keith and best wishes to everyone who is part of this amazing community. Couldn’t have done it without you.
Hi Erica,
Congratulations on those results and thanks for such a wonderful and personal post. It made me reflect again on all of the subtle but significant changes that I have experienced since getting this monkey off my back. I hope that your post will encourage others who may be holding back a little on getting treatment to jump on in and know that it is better on the other side.
Keep on enjoying this Hep C free life.
Coral
Hi Keith,
So happy to read your post. It takes some of us a little longer but we get there in the end. Looking forward to your SVR 24 announcement.

Hi 40 – odd,
I am G1a and also relapsed after my first round of treatment so I know how you feel. My virus was particularly hard to kill but with perseverance and help from Dr Freeman and FixHepC I am now cured.
My treatment and retreatment were managed through Dr Freeman and GP2U so I didn’t have to deal with the NHS. I do know that for me the NHS 8 week harvoni treatment would never have worked and there must be many more like me.
I can see you are collecting your latest results so that the right treatment can be prescribed as there isn’t a one size fits all for retreatment.
My way of dealing with the relapse was to sort out retreatment as soon as I could and I’m hoping you can get back on to treatment very soon. I look forward to reading your updates.
Hi MWILLIAMS,
I think most of us were a little anxious at the beginning of the treatment although I must admit I was so desperate to get rid of this virus that I couldn’t wait to start. Usually it’s a bit of an anti-climax (in a good way) because for most people the side effects are minimal.
As Mnem said a good pill taking routine is a must, drinks lots of water, try to get good sleep and be kind to yourself.
Looking forward to hearing your updates. This stuff works.
Yes!!! Congratulations Infinity Dreams – how wonderful to be Undetectable in London!

Love your figures Erica! It’s a great feeling. Congratulations!
Hi Redhead,
Just a quick welcome as you seem to have everything nearly organised. It’s such a great feeling to take back control after being denied treatment.
I was also Genotype 1a and sourced my medication through Fixhepc. I’ve been HepC free from a while now and it’s life changing. Dr Freeman was my doctor throughout via Skype and you couldn’t be in safer hands.
Good luck Redhead – I look forward to hearing about your progress.
