Great news Seedy. I had a blood test at 24 weeks and I remember Dr Freeman saying on a post recently that if the virus was still present it has had 24 weeks without medication and hasn’t grown back so it’s definitely gone for good. Looks like yours is gone. Yay!!
Hi Top14u,
I’m really glad that you found this site. You are in the right place to find the best option for you.
Thanks for asking – I have now been officially cured (confirmed by a blood test 24 weeks after the end of my treatment) and it continues to be a wonderful thing!
I know how devastating relapse can be but your attitude is exactly like mine was – that’s happened, it’s crappy but tell me what I can do next.
There are so many variables in our own special HepCness that while 8 weeks of treatment with certain medication will work for some but it won’t be enough for others. My own brand needed a stronger and longer treatment but I got there in the end. As someone who has relapsed it’s important that you get the right treatment regime.
I’m really sorry to hear about the attitude of your hospital in not treating relapsers. I find it hard to get my head around this when the end goal needs to be to eradicate HepC from everyone and one size doesn’t fit all.
There is a lot of information on this site and if you contact help@fixhepc.com they will be able to provide you with further advice. My doctor throughout my treatment was Dr James Freeman, world expert in HepC, founder of this site and all round decent human being. He and other expert doctors can be contacted through https://gp2u.com.au/about_us.html which is an online medical service so it doesn’t matter where in the world you are. I had my appointments via skype. Based on your test results they are able to prescribe the correct medication and FixHepC can arrange for it to be legally delivered to you. There is a cost but it is very small compared to the prices charged by the pharmaceutical companies and I think I can confidently say that for all it has been money well spent.
There is absolutely no need for you to continue with HepC and the debilitating side effects. I’m so pleased that you contacted us. Please ask any questions. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this site who know exactly how you are feeling. Looking forward to your updates.

Yay Edge!!
Congratulations. I’m so very very happy to hear that you are cured. I’m really enjoying it and I know you will too!!
This is sensational Hazel. I’d love to see it performed. Maybe we need a Choir of HC as backup to the rapper.

Congratulations on your results. I know how wonderful it is to hear the news that it’s a great big negative.
Thanks for sharing your story. It might be the one that tips the balance for someone who needs treatment but is worried about the legitimacy of FixhepC. As those of us that are now cured know it may seem too good to be true but it really is good and true.
I also had Hep C for 30+ years and had children that may have been infected. One son is carrying antibodies suggesting that he was exposed to the virus but his body managed to clear it. Ahh the guilt of a mother!
Good to hear that things are returning to normal for you – it takes a while for the drugs to get out of your system. That fatigue and brain fog is a killer. Sometimes it’s hard to believe how bad I felt and how much the virus affected my life but now that it’s gone I think it’s really important to be thankful and look forward.
It’s great that you had some good support around you. Take it easy and there’s nothing wrong with a bit of Netflix every now and again.

Hi FindingTheCure,
Congratulations on finding the best place to seek help for your father. I am also one of the thankful people who is now cured after carrying the HepC virus for decades.
My cure started with a newspaper article, followed by a visit to this site and then an appointment with Dr James Freeman at GP2U (an online medical service) via Skype. Dr Freeman is a world expert on Hep C and the founder of this site. He was my doctor for the duration of the treatment via Skype. My medication was ordered through FixHepC and delivered to my door.
FixHepC can help you with your queries about legally accessing the medication. The generics are a fraction of the cost charged by the large pharmaceutical companies but are exactly the same.
You asked about side effects? Generally people have very minimal side effects and this has been the joy of these new treatments compared to the old regimes. The most common side effects seem to be headaches and sleeplessness.
I know this seems too good to be true and a little skepticism in the beginning is normal but this is the very best, most supported, legal way that your father can get the medication that he needs to be cured of this virus.
Good luck. Keep us posted.

Great cartoon Hazel. He’s certainly my hero!
Congratulations – that’s great news neil.rogers8! I understand the absolute relief to be rid of something that we didn’t want but had to carry with us for decades. Enjoy the lightness!

Hi Splitdog,
I’ve been keeping an eye out for your retreatment so I’m really pleased to hear that you have started.

Hi Sandcountry and Welcome,
You have quite a story – thanks for sharing it. You’ve fought a long, hard battle with your virus and as if that wasn’t enough, I’m sorry to hear you’ve been battling prostate cancer as well.
Don’t worry about the technology – I still bumble my way through the site. Your forum colleagues totally understand!
I’m so happy that you’ve started this HepC treatment because you are now on the best path to a cure. Sometimes it takes a little longer to find the right formula but I am now officially cured after having the virus for decades. There are usually minimal side effects for most people especially compared to what you have gone through with your other treatment regimes.
I found Ribavirin knocked me around a little more than the other medications. A lot of us have found that very simply drinking lots of water, trying to get enough sleep, eating well and generally being kind to ourselves during the treatment can ease any side effects.
Good luck – looking forward to reading your updates.

22 September 2017 at 2:46 am in reply to: REDEMPTION 4 – Epclusa – 12 week course – Experience #26865Hi JoannaCH and welcome,
Firstly congratulations on starting your treatment. I had G1a so my treatment was a little different to yours but thankfully these different medications are leading to the same outcome – the eradication of the virus.
There are G3s who have successfully treated with Epclusa and you’ll find one will hop on the forum soon to share their experiences on that particular medication.
In the meantime we’re with you. Roll on October 24th!
Hi Erica and Welcome!
I hope your medication arrives today! I remember I was pretty impatient to get started and although a little nervous I was also hopeful and excited.
A journal is a great idea. I noticed that the brain fog started to lift pretty much when the virus disappeared but other things are more subtle. I’ve just had a pretty full on week of cruising and find that now I can stay the distance through days that once would have flattened me physically and mentally. Not to mention the return of the ability to drink cocktails!
Not every health concern disappears but my general sense of well being has certainly increased. We have spoken on this forum before about the depressive affects of this virus. Although I hid these affects for quite a few years I look back and realise just what an impact it had on my mental health.
I wish all of these good things for you once that virus is gone. Good luck with your treatment (and absolutely drink water, sleep and be good to yourself).

Hi Sven,
This is a beautiful song to dedicate to your mother. I lost my mother 33 years ago and not a day go by that I don’t miss her. They are irreplaceable.
I am also a mother of two sons and these are the simple things I wish for them.
