12 October 2016 at 2:19 am in reply to: RO patient won in court the right to interferon-free treatment #23763Thanks so much Isa. Yes it’s already a month. I have had one early blood test that looked really promising but will post when I have a more comprehensive result. I have had a few more side effects with this medication but nothing I can’t cope with. Thanks again for your kind thoughts.
Hey good to hear from you 2B and it’s great that things are going so well. When you think about it, it was a pretty incredible adventure that you had that took a lot of guts and trust. But what a payoff! Keep enjoying life.
Such great news Beaches. I know what you mean about not knowing how unwell you are until you are well. You now have a fantastic new normal. Swimming and mooching around the Costa Brava sounds damn fine too.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Claudel. What good timing for your UND result – one less thing for you to worry about. Take it easy and we look forward to hearing from you when you are ready.
11 October 2016 at 1:21 am in reply to: RO patient won in court the right to interferon-free treatment #23730Thanks for posting Isaing4. A victory for one brave person that should have broader implications. I really hope this at least contributes to raising the profile of HepC in Romania and leads to better screening and treatment options.
Hi Seekingcure,
I totally understand that you want to be assured before you go down the path of generic HCV medication. Our US friends will confirm by their own experiences that you can legally import the generic medication into the US. Those of us on this site can confirm that the HepC Buyers Club is legitimate (my medication was purchased through them) and that this site is an incredible tool for research and support.
I had the same feeling when I looked into the generics and the Buyers Club last year. That it is almost too good to be true. It is true and it is good. People are cured. You’ve made the first step – keep moving forward.
Hi Splitdog,
Good to see you are holding steady at the start line waiting for that Vox. We’re here waiting for you.
Congratulations HG!!. You are so right CC2B – it never gets old hearing about the successes.
Enjoy your Hep C free future HG.A great post to start Mike. After many years of burying my head in the sand, in 2015 I was confronted with having to accept that I would need to have treatment for Hep C or face serious consequences. In addition, the side affects had developed to such an extent that they became impossible to ignore.
About a year ago a friend sent me a newspaper cutting about the new wave of HepC medications, the FixHepC Buyers Club and Dr Freeman. A few days later I made an appointment with Dr F through GP2U and started taking my generic medication on 12 November 2015. I remember at the time that it was so quick and easy that it was sort of surreal.
I started logging into the forum and saw Mike, Kevin, LG, Nadia et al. I am naturally pretty private so I thank everyone who jumped in with trust and openness and in doing so encouraged me to be part of this great community. It has been a joy to see the forum grow but in doing so it has managed to maintain its’ core values of integrity and respect. All kudos to the moderators and members.
As it turned out I am in the “more difficult to cure” category so it has been an up and down year for me BUT one year later I have already started my second course of treatment that will finally put an end to this unwanted squatter I’ve been carrying for decades. And that’s ok.
