Hallelujah indeed LG! A little bit of a longer path but you made it! So so happy for you.
That’s fantastic news Em. Oh what a feeling!!!
Congratulations Neilo. The joy of SVR 12! Hope to join you in the not too distant future.
Hi Valerie,
I was also a bit slower to respond (VL 58 at 4 weeks and still detected at 9 weeks). However my ALT19 and AST 24 at 4 weeks were very similar to yours and showed that things were heading in the right direction. There have been some very quick responders so I know it can be a bit disappointing but just hang in there. At 12 weeks my results were finally virus UNDETECTED.
Borrowing from an early analogy by Dr James some of our little viral critters are wearing flak jackets and take a little longer to destroy – but destroyed they will be.
I’ll look out for next results.

That’s fantastic news Lynne. Yours were some of the first posts that I read when we started on this path. It seems ages ago now.
I’m so very happy for you. Enjoy!!Great to see you striding down that path to a cure Defeat. I have just come to the end of 24 weeks treatment and for me it has been all good. Very few side effects and much improvement in thought clarity, physical energy and general mood. Although there was a continuous improvement very early on I still think I can pin point a noticeable improvement around 10/11 weeks.
Love your term “human doing”!

Hi Phoenix,
I have just signed in after a break and caught up with your posts. The results sound really positive and really good. Having had HCV for so long I always used to wonder what “normal” felt like and maybe we are all starting to work out what our new normal is as opposed to our HCV normal.
I’ve just finished my last tablets on Thursday after 24 weeks so entering the new phase with so many of you now. I’m taking some positivity cues from Pat1.
Good luck with the VL but it’s looking good.

Another fantastic milestone Cindi and J. Heartfelt congratulations.
Hi Irma88 and Gaj,
I am also finishing my 24 weeks with my last pills this Thursday. That makes 12 weeks of Sof/Led and 12 weeks of Sof/Dac.
It will be strange but good not to have that nightly ritual. Good luck to all for the next stageCoral
Hey Beancounter,
A late vote for taking all of those suckers. I started out with a 12 week course of Sof/Led but due to a slower response I am currently continuing for 12 weeks of Sof/Dac. I probably could have stopped at 16/18 weeks but my view is that it’s important to put your own oxygen mask on first so that you can then help others. It’s possible to pay our incredible luck forward in many other ways. Finish the course.

Hi Hope,
That is such fabulous news. What shocking behaviour from your doctor but a great outcome for you.
I was a slow responder but never lost faith that I’d kick it in the end. Well done you!Coral
Simply great news Mike. Hope the ale tasted as good as it sounds. I haven’t worked out the dancing banana yet so I hope a thumbs up and a flower will cover it.
Thanks Paul and great respect to you and all peg survivors.
Hi Paul – I’ve been relocating for the past few weeks so am slowly catching up with the news. So sorry to hear yours but liking your attitude – it is what it is so lets get on with it.
Thanks all for the reminder about the carbs and glucose. I’ve taken less notice of this while I’ve been moving and things have crept back into my diet that probably aren’t helping the fight.
