I spoke with Barbara Birney HMRC 03000 518 707
They said I should have filled in C285 form to reclaim the VAT charge paid
Fed x put it through under the wrong code…
After several phone calls and emails it was decided to not charge me…… it wasn’t easy though x
I got this extra charge…. and wasn’t expecting it….after a few phone calls and emails I got it ‘ written off’
Was a bit time consuming and a bit of a pain…but they did cancel mine eventually….good luck with sorting yours out x8 December 2016 at 4:32 pm in reply to: First week of treatment with sofosbuvir and daclatasvir #24632Hi Jorge
I was also geno 3a….just finished 12 weeks of sofosbuvir and daclatasvir on 28th November…. I think everyone reacts differently with the medications…. I had a few headaches, but nothing too bad really….main problem for me was the insomnia which started about a week into my treatment…..fatigue was also a problem ( due to the lack of sleep)….. just try and rest as much as you can…. drink lots of water….hope you have an easy time on your meds….good luck donna
Hope you can sort this out countless. In my case my GP also only did 2 week, 4 week and 12 week blood tests whilst I was on medication. So I’m presuming that must be their remit for patients taking generic medications. Xx
Salad ( lettuce ) is great for aiding sleep….
My GP surgery is in the city centre, a large practice which has a liver clinic once a week. I also have a Consultant in the hospital.
My GP did tests in March, and came back positive hep C
I was offered the usual interferon and Ribervan….told my Consultant, Liver Nurse and GP that I wanted to do generic treatment with fixhepc….
So my liver nurse has been doing blood tests, in GP surgery. This has come out of GP surgery budget.
But they are all keeping in the loop…the nurse is from the hospital and works with my Consultant. I have 3 days left on 12 weeks of sofosbuvir & daclatasvir …. all looking good on that thankfully…
My GP has been so supportive because at the end of the day the Consulant had said he wouldn’t monitor, he did say he would re visit the subject at the next ‘ meeting’…. and it’s a stress you could do without really isn’t it…. they know generics work… we know they work ….24 November 2016 at 4:18 pm in reply to: I don’t understand my bloods results, or my viral load…. #24457Almost finished my 12 weeks treatment, just 3 days to go and I’m done…. for me the past few weeks have been the hardest…I’ve been tired physically and emotionally… I’m so grateful to have had the generic medications, and I’m hoping the virus stays undetected at end of treatment… thanks to everyone on here who has been there for support and advice….
I’m doing 12 weeks ( finish 28/11/16) I did think about extending treatment… but decided on 12 weeks.
Undetected at 3 weeks into treatment… I had no cirrhosis and fibro scan F1That’s such good news RSF
So so happy for you….I get tears of happiness each time I read a post like this…
Xi9 November 2016 at 6:33 pm in reply to: I don’t understand my bloods results, or my viral load…. #24234Great news I had this morning… My son does not have Hep C…. to say I’m relieved doesn’t really describe how I felt .
My lovely Nurse texted and then phoned me… I’m so happy and thanks to everyone for all the support…. this site is great as I’ve got people to talk to who understand… -
