Hey DT, I know you will tolerate the DAAs well. As Ive said many times this is a cake walk for me personally. And I say this with the deepest respect to those few are suffering from tx sides. Its a personal journey and everyone is different.

I believe some people could tolerate 800 sof and 120 dac with very few sides for 12 weeks and could be an option for harder to treats rather than the 24 standard. I definitely have. considered slipping 4 in rather than 2 lol. Particularly when i know that lightweights on here are dosing the same dose as me at 75kg.

Also leading in and/or out with riba and tben there is the tappering discussion. Oh DT weve been shufflimg these forums for way too long. Lets get this done. Em

I think it’s a great discussion Hamilton and Miko we’re all learning this new DAA landscape including Dr F. Subsequent to this the first wave of generic uptakers Im sure we’ll see a range of tx options being tailored to genotype, weight and damage. I wouldnt rule out double dosing if my tx journey doesnt go to plan, or adding plus 12 and or leading out with riba. I will do what i have to in spite of what the experts know. I could live on this shit if needed, sure beats dying of a liver that’s transformed into a wall nut. I guess my point is that while we’re all tx’ng according to plan stock standard tx is okay. But all bets are off if the shit hits the fan.

I recall on my previous tx i had to present at a forum in melbourne. I did so with a neutrophil count of 0.2 and haemo of 9 due to overdosing on the white and red cell assassins. Anyway bla bla sorry peeps Em

    Hi Miko

Definitely want to stay in touch with you and i cant go against the logic of riba albeit didnt show the same improvement in the sof/dac data. Thats why i opted for the dac vs led, for the addition .5 kill log. I was thinking of extension but rethought this when my baseline indicated a 120k vl. Unheard of for me in my 10 years of testing with my lowest ever being 4 million. Ill watch and wait. Writing this outzide the pathologist and should know in a week how this stuff is actng. Day 20. Hi Hamilton

We tried to chat the other day but the system was clunky. I’m emilio, geno 1b and currently day 20 of sof/dac and only doing 12 weeks at this stage. F2/3 approximate. Treated before with IFN/Riba and polymerase inhibitor in 2008 for 63 weeks. While F3/4 doesn’t quite make you cirrhotic it’s getting up there and I can see the need to hit this longer and harder maybe. What’s your VL? starting. I was considering extending to 24 weeks but will make that decision in a week or so, just see how my body responds. In regard to the ribavirin, if it were me I wouldn’t use again as a geno 1 but I do see the benefits in leading out with Rbv and leading in for that matter. I believe riba is still a must with geno 3 and moderate damage and extension. Em

    Hi Vicki

Congratulations, wonderful news while this isn’t considered a cure. Very little chance of the virus returning from this point, particularly with another 8 weeks tx. The percentage rate of this occuring would be 1 or 2 percentage I’d imagine. This is such good news and once again congrats. Em

    Hi Chapel,

Great news I’m so glad it all went smoothly. I’d say by now you’re day 2 on your meds and not far from clearing. This is very encouraging for all people from NZ and reasonably cost effective to pick up from Tassie. I wish you the best of luck. Em

Probably best off with the incepta/bangladesh option if you’re wanting to pick up in India? Approximately $2160US for 24 weeks I believe, parvaz would be able to confirm. I’m sure he said $1080 for 12 weeks. Em

    Hi DT

I’m taking similar for my hayfever/seasonal stuff here. I put cetereizine through the interactions tool and it came up orange and it went further to say that this particular antihistimine shares enzymes with the daclatasvir??? Probably nothing that would impact and there is no research, so I’ve decided to steer clear and opted for laratadine which is green lighted. It’s a shame because friends swear by the ceterezine. Em

    Hi Everyone

Interesting conversation re tinnitis. In a previous life I worked as an audiometrist in remote Aboriginal commuities within NSW and I’m sure ASIO will be able to track me down now lol. Anyway I also have suffered from mild tinnitus for many years and therefore had many discussions with specialist and audiologist etc. The experts suggest that it is commonly caused from an undiagnosed hearing loss at or above 8000 frequency which is high with the theory being that given this is where breeze, wind, birds and all of our daily background noise sits in and around this frequecy. So if you have a high pitch loss you don’t hear this background noise and therefore what you hear is headnoise. So this is me and I was unaware of this until I started having difficulty testing my own audiometer and discerning volume from right and left. I got this loss from working in factory tin shops without protection. Vets, factory workers, machinary operators, farmers and others all have some degree of high pitch hearing loss and in fact it is the first frequencies to go with aging as well. And the other common expert theory is that it is psychosematic and when our levels of stress are up tinnitis is magnified. And of course there are ototoxic drugs and this may also be many of us. Shit IFN/riba took my sight out and now maybe my hearing and happy to swap for a HCV cure. Em
