My distain for for gileads ethics is no secret however i look to a broken system that has allowed the company to do what it has done. Is it by accident that daclatasvir arguably the best NS5A pangeno available (BMS) only got FDA approval in July this year? And gileads so called breakthrough drug velapasvir is now being fast tracked via the FDA to compete with dac as an NS5A pangeno? Its not comlex really, its FDA corruption and truckloads of cash as incentive.

Question? How much would it cost gilead to treat 200k vets at $350 a treatment? Will it make much difference to the bottom line? Em

I was actually on a path to attempt this with my extension post 12 weeks however some extra Dac fell into my hand. I too am a fan of Dac but believe the mixing up of the dac and led might have some benefit. Not because ones better than the other but because it’s just different. I’m thinking the triple sfv led or dcv and smv would be the bomb in terms of tx. So ns5b, ns5a, ns4a/b? might have those wrong but it mucks with the process just a little bit more and a superior combined kill log. However, the elusive smv is hard to source for some reason. In Australia it was offered in combination with IFN/riba and now that the Australian government has ditched IFN they have a supply which might need a home so triple tx may become a reality here?? . Em

Congratulations on the great result, Merry Christmas I too had a neutrophil drop to 1.6 early in tx but really don’t think it was a medication side effect, more to do with a Flu I was carrying at that time, however, any infection could give a neutophil result like this. I’m not sure that these meds do anything to your WBC and indicator counts. Others will be able to advise. I know that interferon had me at 0.2 at one stage and caused havoc with WBC and Neutophils.

Don’t worry this will bounce back and 1.9 isn’t really that low but something to monitor. Mine came back in 2 weeks. Em
