The cynic in me says that it’s a great way to publicly claim to be helping a whole nation while simultaneously getting research data for not too many $$$ and no significant impact on Gilead’s commercial markets.
Yes, see the Glossary definition of “Compassionate Access”
http://fixhepc.com/forum/glossary.html
But still, if you take away the well deserved cynicism that should be 1150 off the 185,000,000 need to treat, so now it’s only:
185,998,850
And the total treated with Gilead medications will jump from 613,000 to 615,000 in the last 2 years.
At this rate the job should be done by the year 2618

Entirely insignificant. It looks like you were slightly dehydrated when the blood was drawn but these numbers change a bit from day to day, and in fact you get different reading in the morning and at night….

The site is Joomla running on CentOS and the forum is Kunena underneath but it has taken quite a lot of CSS editing to make the Shaper Helix 3 template play nicely with it.
We built this on a shoestring using low cost parts although it does have 16 GB of RAM and 16 processors to keep it fast enough during peak times.

But if I understand correctly, statin & B12 supplement & vit D supplement & antioxidant only end of treatment, after 12 weeks of Twinvir.
Am I right? No, you are not right.
Supplements, if taken, need to be taken during the medication treatment period. Taking before to prepare, and after will not hurt but is not as important.
If taking supplements I would take separate from medications by 2 or more hours. No evidence for that but it will ensure medications have had time to be absorbed.

I have lumps as well, I broke down the small parts…Still have some big lumps don’t want to use them. In my new package (4 weeks) no lumps..It seems that the texture of the powder changes….My new package is much softer again, like clouds-powder. Huhmn and the other package of Dac also different, other taste…
Please send samples for testing.

“Well,” said Pooh, “what I like best,” and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn’t know what it was called.”
Actually with the greatest of respect to Pooh there is a moment after eating honey that is better, and it already has a name….

And your time starts from….whenever you choose.
Be a rebel. Do it. Open the bottle. Take a tablet. Put it in your mouth. Swallow.
Exactly what value is any other person going to add to the process?
No == don’t do it == Don’t get cured
Yes == do it == Duh? And I just paid 200 quid for you to state the bleeding obvious!
Maybe == WTFOnce upon a time I was doing my first free fall skydive under the tutelage of instructor, Captain Ron Llywelyn (ex SAS) .
In the days before tandem you learned to skydive like this:
- Jump out of the plane on a static line x 2
- Jump out of the plane on a static line, until you manage 3 x in a row “dummy ripcord pulls”
- Then do your first free fall
Now a dummy ripcord pull is hilarious (in retrospect) in that you pull the handle and out comes a little flag showing your jumpmaster you did it but rather like the Wile E Coyote in the Road Runner cartoon having a WTF moment before splattering into the ground.

Anyway getting onto the moral of this tale….
I asked Capt. Ron this question:
“Hey Ron, so how long do I have to pull the ripcord?” (expecting the answer 15 seconds which is true for a free fall from 3,500 feet)
But he said this…..
“Well James, I’ll tell you. You’ve got the rest of your f***in life to pull that ripcord”

We have seen literally hundreds of packages of Mesochem API. It is perfectly ground and lump free.
Sofosbuvir is hygroscopic (absorbs water) but I have some Mesochem API that is in a post testing and sitting in zip lock bags in the original open foil package. It has been on my desk for weeks. No lumps.
Send us a small (1/8th of a capsule) sample and we will test it.

Good luck LG. I’ll look forward to reading your posts.

Pretty much all the supplements data relates to Interferon+Riba treatment and is being extrapolated into the age of DAAs.
The jury is still out as to their utility with DAAs, but unless we get a 100% pan genotypic combo I would be thinking about normalising LDL cholesterol with a statin and making sure my B12 and vitamin D were high normal. I would probably take an antioxidant too.
But that’s just me and YMMV.

I’m so happy for you Enkel….congratulations!!

How about N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC)?
Hi Tim,
Yes and No.
Theoretically it should do a similar job to ALA, SAMe, and Betaine (and it’s worth considering you almost certainly don’t need all of these given the final common pathway).
But practically:
- NAC tends to make people feel sick
- NAC does not seem to help much
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3953807/
However this article did dig up Vitamin D which seems to be usefully active.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21145801
http://hepatitiscnewdrugresearch.com/vitamin-d-and-treatment.html
I will edit the original post to include Vit D but not NAC because of the lack of evidence it helps SVR.

It’s interesting to see that the incidence of co-infection seems to be 5-10% when people look, but out of several hundred patients I have only seen 1 reported.
I suspect what’s happening is that they test for all 6 genotypes and pick the biggest one an call patients GTX even though 5-10% of the time the lab also saw some GTY

Remember the half life of Ribavirin is about 12 days so it takes 12 days to drop to 1/2, another 12 to drop to 1/4, another 12 to drop to 1/8 of the original ie expect it to take a couple of weeks to come good when you stop.
You may be interested in this (which is from our decision support tool) Look at the f4: and fail: sections and you will see the SVR rates for 24 weeks with/without Riba from ION-3)

There is very little statistical difference between 11 and 12 (<10%) so given you're symptomatic and with or without Riba you are looking at an SVR of 97-99% I would be inclined to stop now.

Thank God I had very patient bosses! I work for four Lawyers and have worked within the legal profession for over 43 years. At times I would just sit at my computer and know what I had to do but just couldn’t get the old brain to fire up to show me how to do it
