Sorry to hear that your Mother relapsed again. As splitdog says Sofosbuvir/Velpatasvir (Epclusa) + GS-9857 is an option that looks excellent for the future although there may be others available now that would suit genotype 1b.
However, as four treatments have already failed her and noting her cirrhosis status, I would recommend that she seeks further expert advice by making an appointment for an international (Skype) consultation via GP2U Telehealth https://gp2u.com.au where her history and medical records can be reviewed in detail and recommendations made. Dr James Freeman usually has appointments available on Friday’s but other doctors there could assist if those days don’t suit. I agree with Vororo. As he mentions the ALT needs to be making big jumps to be a worry. Normally it does fluctuate from day to day depending on all sorts of things like what you eat (or drink
) and things like strenuous exercise, stress, etc. Normal range is usually quoted as up to about 50-55 depending on the lab so although it sounds like your normal is quite low a result of 30 shouldn’t be an issue. To give you some idea of what happens in a relapse look at my signature, I went from 34 and undetected at EOT to 92 a few weeks later. So almost tripled.

I believe the units of measure are nano-Mol and pico-Mol.
But note that chart is only for genotype 3a which is why Ledipasvir looks so bad in comparison and that is why it isn’t used for 3a. Ledipasvir would look much better on charts for 1a or 1b and works fine there as you’ve proved.
