    Hi Tommy,

Are you aware of any studies of creatine supplementation while on DAA treatment for HCV?
When you refer to non responders is that in reference to HCV treatment while on creatine supplementation?
Can you please provide any links you have to either of these scenarios?

The market certainly doesn’t seem happy with their performance. Big initial drop after the announcement with no recovery and in fact a slow worsening. This is a company that was at $1.20 in July last year with projections of $1.50 within 12 months.

For me now its nearly all the time since the last 4 days. Its from the right side just below the liver right till the back. Its not sharp just strong dull pain, more like a swelling. Feels like a sprain or muscle twist. Hoping it goes away. But it was gone on treatment but now back. Crap!

    Hi darbara,

I also have some pain in that area which comes and goes, I liken it to a mild “stitch” that you would normally get from exercise. I have discussed it with my Hepatologist but he hasn’t been able to find anything obvious to explain it via physical and blood tests or scans.

Only you can tell how much the pain has increased in intensity and/or frequency in the last few days. Consider that it may be HCV related or possibly a sign of something else but if the increase is marked then seeking medical advice to determine whether it is important would seem to be prudent if only to give peace of mind.

    Hi Enrico,

As others said, it sounds like some sort of computer glitch. Personally I’ve ordered twice without problems to get the 24 weeks treatment I have just finished.

To give you some additional confidence try googling: EASL 2016, Dr James Freeman.

That will provide many independent media and health org related references to Dr James, gp2u and FixHepC. :+1: :)

    Hi All,

Per klhilde’s comments above please note that this supplier is not currently a verified supplier. We await further information from them and will up date this thread once that is received and confirmed.

EDIT: The link in Chiraz’s original post above to http://www.bekerhepc.com has been verified as part of Beker Laboratoire and has now been reinstated.

    Hi Enrico,

Hepantevir is supposedly for Hepatitis B and when I checked I could find nothing about it being a scientifically proven drug but lots about it being a £800 herbal scam. Don’t buy it!

Genotype 1a was considered difficult to treat with the old interferon based treatments but with the new DAAs it has a very high cure rate.

You will need a prescription or other suitable documentation to clear your medication safely past UK customs so you could wait until your doctor’s appointment in June and ask him.
Alternatively, if he can supply you with copies of your records or confirm your last fibrosis score, viral load result and any other medications you may be on before then, you could arrange a virtual (Skype) consultation with https://gp2u.com.au/ They will be able to provide a prescription for the correct treatment for you which you can then source via the Redemption eTrial http://fixhepc.com/home/redemption-etrials.html

While slightly more expensive than sourcing the medication from India or Egypt yourself, you will be guaranteed of receiving genuine Indian generic medications including shipping and tracking to your door, etc. You will also get access to expert medical support (in addition to your own monitoring doctor) from the Redemption trials partners MonkMed per this link http://fixhepc.com/forum/new-to-forum/327-new-member-intro.html?start=135#13297

I agree with Tweakmax. If it was me I wouldn’t be concerned particularly as you are already extending your treatment by a month anyway. I don’t believe 111 days instead of 112 will make a noticeable difference. :)

    Thanks GF,

I would like to note that FixHepC is an international site which of course includes many American friends. :)

But to respond to your comments:

Looking at the US situation from a distance as I do, it would seem that the commercial import and onselling of patented medicines is illegal. But there appears to be a reasonable amount of doubt around the situation regarding an individual importing the same items for their own use despite what one FDA employee may have written in response to a question by a member of the public/this forum. It would seem that the courts would need to make that decision. I’m not aware of the FDA permanently confiscating these individual imports and/or taking the individual importers to court to get a determination in favour of it being illegal which leads me to suspect that they may not have a lot of confidence that they would win.

Of course that may change in the future as you point out and you also comment about the majority not being aware of generics and that is very true. So as I see it we need to advocate for how and where to get “the cure NOW” in those places that allow us and also educate people about existence of these generics in the other more restrictive places so that readers become aware of their existence and can then seek them out both now and into the future.

There are probably something like 180 million people in the world with HCV who need treatment. Those who are lucky enough to have become aware of the availability of generics should get treatment now…….and ‘pay it forward’ by passing on the word to as many people as possible that these medications are available so that others can seek similar opportunities.
