Not my specialist.
I have already started I am day 24 on Sof/Dac. I do not have another appointment at the clinic until Feb and and not sure when & if I will get fibroscan. I asked my GP for a script and he said not until he spoke to my specialist, so I gave him a month and went back and he said specialist had said no wait, and proceeded to try to talk me out of doing it. I just said that I would book in with Doc Freeman if he would not write script and he relented. He wrote script for Sof/Riba and said he would monitor me. He would not write script for Dac as he could not find it in his list. So I saw Doc Freeman and now just doing Sof/dac 24 weeks with Riba maybe in second 12 weeks.
I will go for first blood test next Wed/Thurs and also ask for a hepascore to try to work out fibrosis/cirrhosis levels.

Can anyone tell me if a “Hepascore Test” has to be ordered by a specialist or can a GP get it done? I don’t hold out much hope in getting a fibroscan in the near future as the liver clinic here said not until ” next year” when I called. My request was sent months ago.

Treatment going ok, no major sides, I seem to have HIGH energy days a lot more now than before but still not feeling “great”. I tend to overdo things on high energy days. Still major brain fog though but I feel confident we will all be great after this is over.
And yes, I did check out the link for the blood test and probably will go that route as I don’t think I will get the fibroscan before my first 12 weeks is up.Thank you all for being so welcoming
Doing this has made me feel a little more in control of my health outcome.
