    I’m in the same boat.
    i was nervous too but need not have been.
    started just 3 weeks ago. almost no side effects and Hep C undetectable already.
    I hope your experience is the same.

    i’m delighted!

    I am treating early and am fortunate to have a low VL to start with but still it’s great to have such a positive result so soon.

    my skin is a little less red, but I can still see there is a slight redness.

    Maybe, it will gradually go away as my body becomes used to the drugs.

    My clinical nurse didn’t think it’s the tx, which I don’t agree with. Anyway he was not unduly worried, nor am I.
    The best news is that after just 2 weeks treatment I am already UND.
    I’m really pleased. :)

    i see that i’ve caused a heated discussion.

    Just so you know I’m still getting a little red after taking the tablets but am feeling great.

    I’ll be seeing a nurse next week for my 1st bloods (2 wks) and he can have a look at rash.

    The White area is where I pressed my fingers in my skin. The white disappears in 2 seconds.
    In the meantime my consultant has also advised that I monitor and let her know if I see a worsening or change.

    Thank you all for your advice.

    Unfortunately, I have had a small unexpected setback.

    My HCV consultant called on Friday to say that my base bloods (Creatinine Level) was too high. I need to have more bloods done to double check.

    I have been taking HIV meds for ten years and the consultant is concerned that that medication is affecting my kidney function. She advised not to start until we are sure my kidney function is good as the addition of Harvoni could strain my kidney function further. This may even involve switching HIV meds.

    It could also be a false alarm – I’ve had a few of those before.

    Anyhow, I will hold off on starting until we have cleared this up.

    I’ll keep you updated.
