good news for me today and I hope it will be the same for all of you who are suffering with sx during tx. It has been 54 hours since i took my last pill and the suffering I was feeling during the last weeks of treatment has abated considerably. I was getting kinda freaked out and wondering if it was something else affecting me so negatively. Hopefully today is not just a “good day” and most of the ills I was feeling during tx were from the meds. i will definitely keep everybody posted on this because I know a lot of you must be wondering the same thing about yourselves.

Thanks Doc.,I started slowing down on the water some weeks ago after reading how it could be problematic in this very thread. Luckily in the last couple of weeks of treatment my intense craving for water has diminished as well. I stopped feeling like a dried out old husk, so backing off the water wasn’t such a big deal. But nonetheless drinking water has helped with lots of the sx to a surprising degree…

Mine has been jumping around quite a bit on tx as well. I have a BP monitor at home and it I could sit there for 10 minutes taking it constantly and it will give a different answer each time. Mostly varying on the systolic side (left number). Not so much as to worry me, but still curios. I would say normal for me t the moment is 145/85. Sometimes goes up to 155/90 or down to 107/72. All within minutes of each other. One pill left until EOT. Can’t wait!

Mike,
I share your “exercise helps with GI problems” point. I was/am accustomed to eating a big breakfast and then going for a run to digest it. Unfortunately the sides from the meds have made it near impossible in the last weeks. 2 more pills to go, however…

Typically, I alternate jogging with tai chi. But for the last few weeks ( and i finish tx on monday) it seems to do more harm than good. Leaving me even more sapped for the rest of the day. I am listening to what the meds are telling me and keeping exersize and work to a minimum. Short walks with a burst of jogging and 15 minute mini tai chi sessions. Probably 2 or 3 days a week right now. Hope to get back into the routine once my energy starts coming back.

My .02. Some types of conversations, for me, just don’t work in forums or emails. Whenever I feel like what I need to say could come off as offensive or hurtful I try and find a different medium for the conversation and I have learned this the hard way. A skype call usually can quite often take the edge off of a conversation which is going down the tubes. Something to do with the one sidedness of the points being made in a forum/email/chat methinks. I have salvaged various situations, to the point of realizing that the person I felt like strangling is a great person once the conversation became a real time back and forth discussion.

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico here. A beautiful 500 year old colonial style town 6,000 feet above sea level about 3 hours from Mexico City.

I still am fuzzy about the difference between unmeasurable and unquantifiable and how the quantification numbers relate to UND, but then again I am fuzzy about a lot of things!

…but it’s not their “detectable” number. It’s their “quantifiable” number. Hoping there is a difference!

Yes I understand that. Just wondering the difference between seeing the virus and being able to quantify the virus. Hopefully if their machines can’t quantify it below 500 or 50 or whatever, they can still see it, just not attach a number to it. It’s all very frustrating. Maybe a doctor could chime in. That would be way cool….
