No, I’d ask Parvez if he knows the name.
I just found this thread …. long time without your questions being answered.
Yes, for Genotype 3 you want Sofosbuvir 400mg and Daclatasvir 60mg . It’s available from the Buyer’s Club both as a single pill from Bangladesh and as separate capsules of Chinese APIs. However the club can only ship within Australia, and you need an Australian prescription. Get that at GP2U.com.au
Also with an Australian prescription you can get the Chinese APIs in capsules from either Kingwood Pharmacy or West Lindfield Pharmacy, both in Sydney, AU, and according to Greg Jefferys they might be able to ship to you … ask them.
Otherwise, two Bangladesh companies are making Sof/Dac combo pills, including Incepta, but shipping may be a problem. PM Parvez here on this forum and ask him about the ability to ship to Argentina.
Shipments of APIs directly from Mesochem to individuals seems to have been stopped for the time being, but you could still ask Rachel and see what happens. Rachel@Mesochem.com or you could try to get a pharmacy or lab or university to order for you.
Several Indian companies will have Daclatasvir within a short time and over 11 already have the Sofosbuvir. The problem there is again about finding reliable people to take your order and ship to you.
So here’s the takeaway answers
If you want to travel to Australia then use the Buyer’s Club.
If you can’t travel I’d try:
1) Talk to Parvez by PM here on forum and ask him about Sof/Dac combo.
2) Email Greg Jefferys … GregJefferys@outlook.com
3) Check with either Kingswood Pharmacy and/or West Lindfield Parmacy and ask about their shipping abilities. If they can/will do it, get your prescription through GP2U.com.au
4) Email Rachel … Rachel@Mesochem.com … and ask her for a price quote. Read the first couple pages of this thread first to know how to approach her with your questions: http://fixhepc.com/forum/buyers-club-nodes/305-us-importation-legal-or-not.htmlI hope you found the info you were looking for on the site and I hope you got good info from your doctor, but if you still need more info please ask again. There are getting to be more and more knowledgeable people here to help answer questions.
I read the answer to that somewhere, but don’t remember where …
Answer is they don’t live very long and have to keep replicating … don’t remember the time frames though. If they can’t replicate they die out.
What I think I’m seeing in these trials goes along with what the nurse at the Hobart clinic said when Chester and I were quizzing her … our questions were basically along the line of “If it comes back just hit it again?” Just up the dosage?” etc. and she said yes, you’d basically just need to hit it harder for longer.
In the trials they are also throwing more types of meds at it, but it sure looks to me like time length is the main thing to eventually get it all in the tough cases.
Great news Paul!
And thanks for joining our Mods crew!
Sorry for the late reply. I’ll make up for it in volume, hehehe.
This site was still fairly new when I made the decision to go and I was in Thailand at the time. The Doctor in Thailand had followed US treatment protocol and prescribed Sof/Led. For reasons as political as anything I really wanted the Sof/Dac instead.
There were other issues going on … plus I was having occasional bouts of mild brain fog.
1) I had scheduled my non-refundable flight to/from Thailand for six weeks and later discovered that visa-on-arrival was only available for 30 days. It was too late to get a standard visa.
2) To cover that problem I had purchased a side trip to Singapore leaving seven days after my arrival in Thailand and had only scheduled seven nights of initial hotel stay.
3) Then I started getting concerned about how I would source the meds. India only had the Sof. I could get sof/dac or sof/led from China but I’ve been to China once before and knew I would need a translator there and a good explanation to get the visa, and I didn’t have a script for the Dac which I preferred.
4) I was concerned about shipping meds into Thailand to a hotel address and reluctant try.
5) I couldn’t get a response from either Greg’s contact in Thailand that had Twinvir or from anyone in Bangladesh that might have been able to help go there to pick it up … and still, I preferred the Dac.
6) The clock was ticking and I had to decide whether to get on the plane for Singapore or do something different.
7) I liked the hotel I was staying in and decided to try for a full month extension which would have given me more time to figure things out … but then the hotel owner tried to dramatically overcharge me for the long term stay (I already knew the correct price because the desk clerk had already told me.)
The only place I knew for certain I could get the Dac script and the meds was the Buyers Club but I wasn’t getting responses to emails there either. For some reason I kept thinking GP2U was only available for Australians and never did try that option.
So … pissed off at the Hotel owner I got online and rechecked prices to Australia, bought a flight, jumped over to the visa site and worked my way through that, had the desk clerk print out everything for me, burned my non-refundable flight to Singapore, booked a different hotel in Bangkok for one night and then off to Melbourne. Stayed there one night and off to Hobart and the next day I walked into the Dr. Freeman’s office totally unannounced … SURPRISE, I’M HERE!
Because of the way I went about it, it took another 19 days to get the meds … to rush things I went to Sydney to pick up the Sof from Kingswood … but I started treatment in Sydney, had no problem carrying them into Thailand or 10 days later into the US.
I’ve been to Hong Kong three times and never been bothered by customs that I recall. I did have a baggage scanner at departure steal a pair of tweezers though … geeze, even the US TSA didn’t care about those tweezers.
GAJ is a funny Guy …. What he’s telling you is that you only get the edit button on your own posts, and it’s always there for you … while you don’t get to thank yourself for your posts and that button is never there for you.
Hi Bentyl, I don’t remember you saying where in Thailand you are, but if you don’t have a doctor supervising treatment, as I told you earlier, Dr. Sukprasert Prutaghokiate at Vejthani Hospital in Bangkok will do it, he wrote me a prescription for generics and ordered my ultrasound and fibroscan.
Did you ever get a hold of tweakmax or shiba?
Glad to see it worked out for you.
I went to their website and filled out their entire form which included questions on blood tests and genotype and did I have a prescription etc. as well as full contact info … email, phone number, address …
I quickly got an automated email response from an email account … notifications@typeform.com … likely a subscribed service for form infilling and data collection.
About 3.5 days since, I’ve heard nothing more.
Edit: Okay, the page testing explanation seems legit.
In any case, if Dr. Freeman says he’s working with them that’s good enough for me.Thanks everybody!
And Chester, yep, I can see it clearly in their anxious eyes ….
“Where’s Kevin?”
“Where’s Kevin?”
“Where’s Kevin?”Or maybe it’s “Where the hell are our chicken wings?”
Hey, is Pete moved into his house yet?
Tell him I said “Hi.”I’m a US citizen … got my blood work done in US, my ultrasound and fibroscan done in Bangkok and emailed to Andrew at fixhepc … (because I couldn’t get it through my foggy brain I should be sending through gp2u.com. ) Thailand reports are fine.
You can get the visa online, I got a tourist visa, not a medical visa. and it worked fine for me, except I got a thorough searching and questioning at customs in Melbourne. They said it was because I had a new passport and short notice on the visa … maybe I looked like a refugee … lol
If I remember right, medical visa is NOT available online. You don’t have to go to Hobart … you only need the Australian prescription which you can get with the online appointment on GP2U.com.au … and then just pick up your meds at either Kingswood pharmacy or West Lindfield pharmacy, both in Sydney.
According to Greg Jefferys they might even ship to you. Don’t know Hong Kong laws about shipping meds though.
No, her little dogs.
The sheep didn’t seem to like me … or anybody else for that matter … The chickens were totally indifferent. lol.
The wallabies only came out at night so I never got a good look at them, and the kookaburra wouldn’t get close enough to get a good picture.
Thanks GAJ and CJ and Chester …
Hey Chester, what you said about the unease of taking the last pills …. I’m still almost 5 weeks from EOT and Sunday I refilled my 7 day container … the one I bought when I was with you at the drug store. Then I looked into the bottle and saw how few there were left in there …. and got this weird uneasy feeling. I’ve never experienced that before. I appear to have developed some kind of psychological attachment to these drugs.
I hope you explained to Harvey and Louie that they’re not allowed to like any of your new guests better than they liked me!
Okay Price, If I’m reading the numbers right we should have enough money pledged for two people needing 24 week treatments or four needing 12. We might have more than that.
You want to embarrass the VA? We want to get the word out about generics. We both want to help veterans.
Find some more needy veterans and get CBS in on it. CBS should be able to kick in for a few treatments too.
CBS does the story of how a number of Vets has to look out of country to find their cure. And shows how they successfully do it.Lets do this.
