I think there are currently three ways.

    1) Dr. Freeman is running a research test on Twinvir and several other drug combos … he’s using meds from four different Pharma companies if I remember correctly.

If he is still accepting applicants for these studies (I’m unclear on this) I believe his team is shipping internationally for this purpose.
I think you can email Andrew at help@fixhepc.com to ask that question.
Read about the trials in these threads:
    http://fixhepc.com/forum/redemption.html

    2) A member here by the name of Parvez works for Incepta. You can PM him directly, here on this site, and ask the question.
Again, I’m unclear whether he can ship internationally or if you would need to pick up the meds in Dhaka. Best to ask him.

    3) Greg Jefferys has set up a shipment channel through India. The payment process is a little more complex so takes a bit more time, but you can get them that way if the others won’t work. His email is gregjefferys@outlook.com and his blog can be read in both of these places:

    Hey “Chester”
I showed this to you while I was staying at your place. I didn’t tell you I had English lyrics for it.
    Here they are.
    ____________________________________________________________________________________

Now for just what purpose is it I am living?
Cloudy days, all a haze that rolls on by, ya …

This weak malaise, this sense of pain
What does it gain, and where does it get me?

    Can’t drown myself in yesterday
    Today I write a dream
Confused as it may seem, ya ya

All the pretty twinkling stars that shine before the dawn
    Now have they really gone?
    Or moved on to tomorrow?

    Tomorrow never knows
    It’s Happy Line

Now just what is it that I should be believing?
These spent days end in ways that can’t be seen, ya …

Yet as I gaze into the night
Somehow a light, not darkness I’m facing

And everybody has a face that they call “happiness”
    Can mine really be seen?
Though I can’t laugh, it seems, ya ya

With a passion for the future burning in my heart
With rose tints o’er my eyes
I’ll try to laugh and smile

    Tomorrow never knows

    Can’t drown myself in yesterday
    Today I write my dream
Confused as it may seem, ya ya

All the pretty twinkling stars that shine before the dawn
    Now have they really gone?
    Or moved on to tomorrow?

    Tomorrow never knows
    It’s Happy Line

If you want to try Russia or Ukraine and speak/read Russian you might want to take a look on this forum Nadia previously provided.

    http://gcforum.info/

I tried reading a bit there using google translator, and there was a thread about ordering from Mesochem. The Ukrainians and Belorussians were having good success but one shipment to Russia had gone very bad. The order, for about 20 people if I remember right, had been grabbed by Russian Customs and had disappeared for about three months. Wow … Russians can argue pretty viciously when they’re upset!

On the other hand, you’re a quick WizzAir flight away from Poland, and both Romania and Bulgaria are right next door. Have you looked at import possibilities there? I bet a quick flight to Italy would do the trick as well.

Mike, I like your handle on that forum. Maybe a few of us should do the same.

I’m assuming you got your quote about Ganes from this story. The first time I came across it was as a link in the discussion back pages of some wikipedia article … amazing what you can find when you go to where people of wildly differing viewpoints are arguing! The piece was published March 15 of 2013. It’s quite revealing of how the whole thing came down. Gilead either bought Pharmasset out of panic or extreme exuberance. You don’t normally just go deciding to spend $11.1 billion and get the whole process done in 15 days!

First, remember the time zone differences. I don’t know where you are in the US but here’s this … (Rachel is in Beijing and Greg is in Tasmania)
    http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/

I don’t know if Rachel works alone or has a staff, but she is certain to have a large work load. As for Greg’s response times, I’ve seen them run from a couple hours to a couple days. Remember this is not his job, he’s doing this out of his home on his own personal time with no financial benefit. And he’s being swamped with people’s requests for help.

In your emails to Rachel you want to keep it as simple as possible and not put information that is unnecessary or could get you rejected. Technically she’s only supposed to be shipping to other drug manufacturers and to researchers. Make her life easier by not saying anything that implies you’re not one of those. Another form of don’t ask, don’t tell.

In your first email simply state you would like a price quote for X amount of drug A and Y amount of drug B shipped to location Z.
Likely she’ll just send a price quote. You then send a message saying you want them and ask for payment method details. She may ask various questions … answer them but don’t go into any extra detail beyond the shortest, simplest answer. Make it easy for her to do this.

Edit: Funny, Jolie and I must think alike.

    What genotype are you?

Twinvir works well for types 1a, 1b, 2 and 4 … not quite so good with type 3.
Twinvir is from Incepta from Bangladesh.
Incepta also has Hopetavir (sofosbuvir), and the new Virodacla (daclatisvir)
The sof/dac combo is better for type 3 and works very well across all genotypes.

I was provided with a printout of a “Certificate of Analysis” for both drugs.

The Dac came out 99.3% and the Sof was 99.8%

Discussion of NMR testing can be found in the blog here

    Hey Henry,

Very similar numbers to my own, except I was only diagnosed 2.5 years ago.

The anxiety and fear is normal for the situation, but understand that it’s also a symptom of the disease.

First off, while there doesn’t sound like a reason to panic, there’s also is no good reason to wait. Take action NOW! Get your life back.

    Let’s start at the beginning.
You’ve had your blood work done, you know your genotype and viral load and you’ve got your fibroscan score so you need no further testing. Your doctor has already written a prescription for Harvoni.

So, first question. Will he write you the prescription for generic meds and oversee treatment (basically just order your bloodtests)? If he will you’re almost there. Either just order the drugs from Mesochem directly or contact Greg Jefferys to go through his channels to get Twinvir.

I’d personaly go the Mesochem route as it will be faster and I’m not sure Greg’s channels from Bangladesh are fully in place yet. He can also help you with the Mesochem products, but there’s probably no need and he’s overwhelmed at this point anyway. Dr. Freeman has been testing every shipment of the Mesochem product and there has never been a problem. Just order them and get on with it.

The Mesochem meds are in API form (powder) which you’ll need to put in capsules. Don’t worry about the difficulty, hundreds of people are doing it and there are instructions for doing it in this forum as well as on youtube and many other places online.

You’ll want to order 84 days of:
    Sofosbuvir at 400mg/day (400×84=33600mg) … order 34 grams (or maybe a little extra) ~$1000US
    Ledipasvir at 90mg/day (90×84=7560mg) … order 8 grams (or maybe a little more) ~$950US

OR … if your doctor will agree, you can get the better drug (my non-professional opinion) and save money by getting Daclatisvir instead of Ledipasvir.

    Daclatisvir at 60mg/day (60×84=5040mg) order 5.5 grams ~$250US

(So either Sof 400mg/day and Led 90mg/day OR Sof 400mg/day and Dac 60mg/day)

You’ll want blood work done somewhere between the fourth and the sixth week by which time your viral load will likely be “undetected,” and then again at end of treatment, and then again at either 12 or 24 weeks after end of treatment.
    _________________________________
However …. if your doctor will not write the prescription or oversee treatment there will be a few more steps or decisions to work through.

Let us know on that score and if you need the other steps we’ll walk you through them.
If you’re ready to order we’ll walk you through that too. Check out Mike’s thread … he just did it a few weeks ago and has already helped another person do it so he can give you all the details to get it done.

I carried mine in. MesoChem (Edit: Unknown Chinese APIs of) Sof and Dac already encapsulated and with proper bottles with pharmacy labels and Dr.Freeman’s prescription on them. No one at customs asked about any medicine and I didn’t say anything at all about it.

I had all the necessary paperwork if it came down to that, but there’s not even a line to write in or a box to check that has any questions about pharmaceuticals. The only potentially relevant question on the form is about the value of goods brought into the country.

Last time I was in the office in Hobart, Dr. James told me there were two more Americans on their way.

As far as I know, up until these new trials they were not shipping out of Australia. The little bit I’m aware of the people shipping into the US is what I’ve read in Greg’s blog, and so far I have heard of no failures, though there was some hinting of people ordering from online pharmacies that got scammed. I don’t remember the details.

I suspect there are hundreds, maybe thousands of people doing this all on their own and simply not talking about it. But if we weren’t talking they wouldn’t know how to do it.

Ummmm…. that was unexpected. I’m still not back to work so have some free time. My work days are generally 12 hours/day.

But I’ll try to be worthy.

Still thinking on the best format to do this.

But in the mean time I posted to the comments in the news story Joy linked to. Lasted less than two hours. Posted again and it was taken down almost immediately. Now the two posts to the ABC site, which although removed still showed up in my disqus account seem to have even disappeared from there! But they don’t appear to have blocked my disqus account in any other way.

Edit: They’re back on my disqus account but with the red “removed” tag.

Posted on the CBS version of the same story and post never appeared …. signed in using facebook.

I’m gonna have to figure out what’s in the posts that’s getting them booted, as I’m sure CBS and ABC, using two different comment systems, are not collaborating to keep discussion of hep c generics off their comment threads.

Edit: I did not use actual hyperlinks so that’s not what did it.
