    Hi Dave
You WILL make it through your 12 weeks of Epclusa treatment, and it will be well worth it!!
I finished 12 weeks of Epclusa on July 3rd. I am feeling a certain energy and a mental sharpness that I don’t remember having since before I was 20 years (I am 54 yrs now. Had Hep C genotype 4 since early 20’s.). At 4 weeks of treatment it was jaw dropping to find that the Hep C virus was undetected. That gave me great motivation to keep going!
You are so young at 65 years with plenty of good years ahead! Drink lots of water and get exercise each day!
I look forward to hearing how you are doing. Hang in there!
    Lisa

    Hi Josie
Congratulations on starting Hep C treatment!!
I’m on Day 12 of Epclusa. I make myself drink close to 100 ounces of water during my day. It really helps me combat the tiredness and side effects. I find if I don’t drink a lot of water, I get really tired, have headaches and basically feel like crap.
    Are you drinking water?
Look forward to hearing more from you. We can do this treatment together!!

    Hi Dr James
    Thank you.
I think my main concern is that I take one 60 mg Propranolol Extended Release per day. I have heard that it isn’t good to take Beta Blockers while taking Epclusa. My Dr and pharmacist says that we will monitor my blood pressure. Still concerned.

    Thank you for the info.
I was told that a 28 day supply of Epclusa costs $4,369.87.
During the 12 week treatment, my Regence insurance is paying for $2,320.
I received a grant for $7200, and was told to reapply for the remainder when I have exhausted the $7200.
Hopefully I will be able to get a grant for the last 28 day supply.
I am so thankful for all the help and support.
