    Hey Paulino :)

Sorry to hear of the double dose ! I have a little pill box with days of the week for this, I often seem to suffer from short term memory loss – around 30 seconds, so very short!

Seeing as you’re on Redemption, you could always ask MonkMeds wonderful Dr Debasis, just drop MonkMed an email.

Hope you’re back in the routine again soon and don’t suffer any sides. Meanwhile, buy that pill box for the remainder of tx maybe? ;)

Hi Dac, Some consultants do often seem to talk in riddles don’t they!
I wonder if it means she will only monitor for a certain length of time depending on your treatment response?
I would also suggest you ask, if you have that kind of communucation with her.
Best of luck with your treatment.

Hi Tom, MonkMed as far as I know, offer licensed Indian medicines. For Genotype 1a, it is Hepcivir-L. As Gaj says though, things ‘may’ vary from country to country, I suggest you ask them directly and you may also be offered an appointment with one of the MonkMed Drs to advise

I’m sure it will all go well, MonkMed are excellent and good communicators.

    Best wishes for your treatment.

This is great to read FFox – UK NHS, are you reading? They made the grand announcement that they were approving the meds, but each individual patients case has to go through a ‘comissioning body’ (ie out of DRs hands) , they have their meeting, then contact one or two patients to give them the ok. So slow and I’ve read of an interferon non responder, fibro 12 lady who has been put off for an appointment until September (GT3 tx is ridiculously expensive here) – Well done F Fox & Australia, We had our announcement way before you, but are taking forever to put it into practice.

Lovely to read your ever increasing happy posts Ariel #love

Thank-you for your good wishes Poodle #flower Yes, I’ve heard that saying , haven’t got a clue where it came from, but get it :)

My new meds arrived this morning, sent by the wonderful MonkMed Mond night /Tuesd morning, so they took 3 days.- Amazing ! Tracked their journey on FedEx.

The whole journey went smoothly, cleared by UK customs and on the van towards my house. Was up early as didn’t want to miss the postman with the blinds open and my big ears on for the doorbell. Then suddenly, the Fedex update said ‘delivered’ – What??? !! Rang FedEx and discovered after some pushing, they had been delivered to a ‘Mr A ‘ at completely the wrong house  All the way from India no problem and get to the shortest last leg of the journey – England and it’s wonderful service minded employees, clearly Mr Van Man could not read properly, didn’t know his numbers (name & address printed in block text, perfectly) or tell the difference between the sexes! Legged it up the road in my floral pjs and fluffy slippers, still on the phone to FedEx and thank heavens the people were in and had my parcel. (They had had it for over 30 mins, but didn’t think to bring it down). FedEx were trying to tell me they had knocked at my door, but they hadn’t and no ‘delivery given to neighbour’ note either (not really a neighbour either, it was half-way up the street past another road!) – Phew !! This did my BP no good at all! thankfully, had a quick cry and all ended well.

I definitely recommend those who order meds by mail, to buy from someone who uses a tracked service, otherwise, I could’ve been knocking on alot of doors anxiously and package could’ve disappeared into the ether , forever ….(and ever amen) !

Anyway, there’s another little tale from Blighty for you all ;) All’s well that ends well as they say and apart from a rather rude awakening this morning I am feeling loads better. Also got blood requests for week 12 from GP.

    Hey ho. #love to all.

    Hi ken,

Dr Freeman gave me this info :

Abbot and Roche make the PCR test.

The usual one here is the Roche TaqMan COBAS http://molecular.roche.com/assays/Pages/COBASTaqManHCVTestv20HPS.aspx

The tests I order are either

    HCV RNA PCR quantitative
    HCV RNA PCR qualitative

Good question Sundance :+1: I think a couple may have done this, or added Riba at the start.

May I ask what your reasoning was behind this? I’m extending treatment (but with Sofo/DAC) due to being a slow responder. Not ‘that ‘keen on the Riba idea I must say as I am very low weight, but keen to do what I can for the best chance. I know there is some discussion re this dotted around, but it would be handy to have any more recent comments here, for sure.
