Hello Barb and welcome to the forum. You’re making a very good choice by taking matters into your own hands. It’s a fact that unless you have severe Fibrosis or Cirrhosis, you have about zero chance of getting treated through insurance.
If you’ve already created an account at GP2U, you can easily book an appointment with Dr James through your account yourself by choosing a suitable time. If you prefer to have someone at FixHepC book the appointment for you, you can send an email to Jan@gp2u.com.au (help@fixhepc.com is fine too as Jan has access to both emails). Best of luck to you.

Interesting analogy Rohcvfighter, why wait when you can have the car right now and avoid all risks?

16 June 2018 at 11:50 pm in reply to: Reduction of itching, keeping a daily log and setting an alarm #28164The dogs seem very smart indeed, I hope the sick one gets better. Doctor James mentioned before that Hepatitis C is a disease that affects most organs of the body, not just the liver. So it wouldn’t be surprising at all that many of the health issues faced by patients, such as skin issues, will disappear once you get treated.

Hi Don Joe, Hepatitis C is transmitted through blood to blood contact with an infected person. To know for sure if you have Hepatitis C or not, you can take the ‘HCV RNA BY PCR,QT’ test https://www.link2labs.com/home/product/search/HCV%20RNA%20BY%20PCR

Congratulations James on your undetected result, that’s really great news . Fingers crossed for your last test in 12 weeks that will confirm cure. Hopefully your doctor will get to the bottom of what’s causing these symptoms soon.
