Excellent project and really great effort on your part Hazel. The site is also nice and well organized, the only thing you should look at is that one of the main menu pages (impact) gives an error. Best of luck in this endeavour :+1: :+1:

Hi Nick, it sure is frustrating having to wait before being able to start treatment, but at least you’re one of the lucky ones who will have access to affordable and extremely effective treatment one way or the other, which sadly can not be said about millions of other patients around the world. Hang in there :)

Hi Nick, yes, a screenshot should be sufficient for Dr James.

Hi Nick, the minimum blood tests needed before seeing the doctor to get a prescription are :

⦁ Genotype (to know your virus type)
⦁ CMP (to know your liver and kidney functions)
⦁ CBC (to make sure you’re not too anaemic and platelets are good)
⦁ HEP B CORE AB, TOTAL to know if you’ve been exposed to Hepatitis B in the past. If this test is negative, you do not need to do any other Hepatitis B tests.

If you have all the above blood tests, you don’t have to do the Fibrosis scan test because the CMP blood test above also reveals the liver fibrosis level. Best of luck today.

It’s amazing how just 7 pills can have this dramatic effect on the virus count, keep at it Kaju, you’re responding well to the medication :)

Hi Nick, it’s my pleasure :). You would pay for it while booking the appointment right on the GP2U website (if using a PC/Laptop), or on the GP2U app (if using a smart phone).

Hello Nick, let me clarify the process. Once you receive your test results, you should register at gp2u.com.au , or download the GP2U app and register. Following that, you should book an appointment date with Dr James. Then you should upload your test results to your file area for Dr Freeman to examine before the appointment date. When the appointment time comes, you should login into your GP2U account and talk to Dr James by video conference (appointments duration are usually 20 minutes). Soon after finishing, you will find your prescription in your GP2U account files. You can then use the prescription to purchase your medications from the FixHepC website. After completing your order, all your medications will arrive together in one package at your doorstep 2 to 3 weeks later (you will be able to track them through the DHL website).

If you have any inquiries about GP2U services, you can contact them directly, the email is : admin@gp2u.com.au Best of luck to you.

Welcome to the forum Cristine, and congratulations on starting your treatment, that’s really great. In terms of what to expect at the beginning, most patients experience a mild flu like illness on starting treatment, but drinking plenty of water really helps with that. Within a week this is usually replaced by feeling better than you’ve felt in years :) . Also remember to take your pills with, or just before, food at the same time everyday. Best of luck to you.

Hello Nick, welcome to the forum. Deciding to get treated is one of the best decisions you will ever make. Modern medications (DAAs) have an amazing cure rate of over 90%, and if you can get access to them for an affordable price, you really owe it to yourself and to your family.
Regarding GP2U appointments, Dr James will examine your test results beforehand (you need to upload them before the appointment), then talk to you for about 20 minutes by video conference, and finally write a correct prescription for you. Please note that the GP2U appointment cost (about 68 USD) is separate from the cost of the medication, best of luck to you.

That’s really great Kaju, seems like your body is responding very well to the medication. I’m sure next week’s results will be even better :)
