    An “Indian Importation” update:
    I am only aware of two shipments of medications that have been detained by the FDA. Both were fully documented and both were from India. One was released and the other, a very recent case, is still undetermined. Personally, I feel, given the recent events in the U.S. and world in general, this may be related to the origin of the packages. This is pure conjecture on my part. I don’t like coincidences. That fact that India is in the same “neck of the woods” as Pakistan, may have some bearing. Regardless, the first detained package was released and I have to believe the second will be released as well. More of a hassle than anything else at this point.
    Given what I know now, I would contact Kingswood or Linfield Pharmacies for generic imports.
    This is only my opinion.

    Here I reply to myself.. again.
    I know nothing about Dr. Reddy. What I do know is that an Indian can buy generic Harvoni for $4 a pill or $336 for a 12 week tx. So, here is a source who is selling abroad for twice that amount. I have no clue what is going on, but I DO know that millions of Indians have HCV and many if them are desperately poor and can’t afford the $4 price. I am pretty sure there are some people who could find a way to make money given that particular set of circumstances.

    Hey D,
    You are pretty new here and this site is a little “different”. We throw things out like domain names for all to see and investigate. If someone gets scammed from reading a domain name on a topic header, they are probably going to have a bad experience no matter what.
    What drew me to this forum is that it focuses on accessing affordable tx from vetted suppliers, not hope and support while waiting for the slow wheels of insurers and governments to turn. There IS, however, as much or more hope and support here than any other HCV forum I have visited.
    What abounds here is knowledge and the use of that knowledge toward a noble goal.
    That, my friend, is wisdom…

    I just saw the “humbuk” post. If you are advocating for some supplier, you are not doing a very good job of it
    As for just joining us here:WELCOME!!
    Everyone here “just joined” at some point. As for someone selling something like this for half price: I wouldn’t go near it. Its like in the construction business: you get 10 bids on a project and one is half the amount of the next lowest bidder. I would reject that one immediately.

    Putting an email address promotes the legitimacy of generics and the people who supply them. If 5 people contact you and successfully import an affordable cure and each of them help 5 more, and so on, we can get Gilead’s attention like they did Down Under.

    Start that thread! I asked the good moderators to give visitors and members from the U.S. an easier way to get info. Now, that we are “highlighted”, lets get the word out!!
    Good Luck way to take the bull by the horns!
    I encourage everyone to keep fighting for insurance coverage, but to get well in the process. I plan to donate my 8 week supply of extra sof/led to a deserving, perhaps financially challenged, soul when I hit SVR 12. I’m sure they are plenty in that boat.
