Interesting which ever way you look at it Doc, a sample size 2/3rds less would produce a greater margin of error but I wonder if something else is going on with GT3’s ?

    Here’s something I prepared earlier :-)

That looks interesting but we can’t draw any concrete conclusions either way due to the selection of who gets Riba or not. The 12 week Sof + Dac + riba was 100% but small sample size vs 81% however this figure was pushed down by the number over cirrhotics who didn’t achieve SVR on the Sof+ Dac 12 weeks SVR was only 69.7%.

I’m staying on the Riba Doc Given I had the Dac with Peg and Rib before and failed in 2011, I don’t want to do this again. :)

I intend to take the Riba for 8 weeks and stop 1 week before I go overseas. Presently taking 1400 mg pd, had bloods yesterday and will monitor hgl through local Gp every 2 weeks. I had no problems last time on it and feel fine 10 days on it.

    Hi Paul,

Sorry about your friend, so sad. Did he have the virus?

At least your buddy had you as his mate Paul. :)

He did much more for me than I for him Cindi he also was very instrumental in getting PTSD up as a war caused condition when he was at the VVA. A lot of Vietnam vets are much better off today for his efforts. He didn’t have this virus but he had other issues PTSD and effects of Menangitis from Vietnam.

The offer to monitor him is a good one I think even though I understand the specialists reluctance to approve the generics it makes me annoyed. My best friend was a Vietnam Vet who died of cancer a few years ago so I have been interested in seeing how your friend gets on Cindi.

    cheers

    Amazing!

He;s now day 17, and feeling great.

Quite sure his bout of sickness was due to a gastro bug, nothing to do with the orals.

J seems to be a lot happier lately.

After reading many peoples reports of people freely noticeably better after just 1 weeks treatment I thought there is a lot of placebo effect & wishful thinking going on. But after just 7 days my liver is no longer tender or even noticeable, my energy levels are noticeably up & I feel stronger or resilient. My mind is still foggy. But as a sceptic I am living the proof!

LOL I was the same mate, I felt great after 48 hrs and wasn’t sure if it confirmation bias or not. My wife thought I was off my chops apart from a painful liver day 10-14 it’s been quite easy, even the Riba is ok so far.

    Hi Everyone

Well my 6 week result won’t be happening, the lab said they didn’t get enough blood, which is bullshit. They had plenty more than the previous tmie? Anyway it’s back in the car today 2 hour round trip for 7 week testing grrrrrrrr. Something has occured at about week 6 and was really confident of UND this time. Frustrating as this just murks the water for me moving forward. Anyway all good!

The something that has occured? Well it’s another level of wellbeing and clarity and if this is HCV free I want it and I want it now. Liver function looks awesome though. Em

The Lft’s look very good EM In Fact they probably couldn’t of been better at all except fopr a V/L test

    Dear All

I would like to know how people who are working have managed treatment – I work on year to year contracts and am the main income earner so I need to keep working.

I am thinking of taking a week off when I first start the medications hopefully at the end of December, but am wondering what other strategies would be useful – any advise of what worked and what didnt work would be useful.

Usually the first week is flying high on the DAA’s , being a female might be different. I don’t try and over do it but sometimes it happens.
