Hi Vicky Nonna unbelievable story about Geelong hospital. they were trying to justify their unkind attitude by scary talk of long term effects of generics. Where was their heartfelt concern about the use of poisonous interferon used in the past 3 decades. Many people have been damaged by this drug and it failed more often then not. They tried to push it onto every poor desperate person looking for hope. The hospitals couldnt care less about the effects and patients were left to suffer alone ofter without out patient care. Suddenly they are concerned about the effect of these drugs which actually cure. Also I would be pointing out to these health care professionals the long term side effects of having hep c. Whats wrong with these people dont they realise people have been putting up with this suffering for years and we all die eventually, we are just trying to have some quality time before we go. Have mercy .

Hi Lyn good on you. Dont let authority undermine your intelligence in taking this opportunity. Royal Melbourne hospital was not impressed with me. A cold response from the specialist, followed by a phone call by the clinic nurse in condescending tones telling me not to go ahead. 18 Days into it I know it is working. No real side effects apart from a bit of tinnitus. Feeling better than the last 2 decades. Had it for 35 years . Go everyone dont listen to them they dont walk in our shoes.

Hi I have it. And it has been very mild up until 4 days ago when I started sof/led. I have also had my hearing tested and it is not damaged at all. Since taking the medication it has increased. lets say a score of about 3 out of 10 up to 6 out of 10 at its worse on day 2. Now coming into day 5 I can say it has reduced slightly to about 5 out of 10 I hope it is just a bit of a reaction to the drugs in the system. If you were to take the opinion of Chinese medicine, there is a meridian from the liver to the ears and eyes. When the liver is “out” of balance , eyesight and ears are effected as they sit within the meridian. Just another point of view. I cant say for sure, but i think its about sensitivity. I never take medications and live very cleanly, wont even take an asprin, no antibiotics, no vaccinations etc . So I think this makes my system very sensitive to toxins/medications. The up side is this is my only side effect and Iam very happy to only dealing with the tinnitus. Yes it is annoying but not the end of the world.
