I had also some moments of insomnia. Not too many, however in one of the nights I tried a trick that worked. Instead of doing the classic trick to imagine me counting the sheep, I imagined I was financial manager at Gilead
, sitting on a mountain of cash (made from bills of 100$ 
) and started to count them. It seems it worked, I do not remember reaching 10 000$ 
….. I guess Gilead would fire me instantly for not having been able to count at least 1 billion $….. 
Another interesting trick I tried in one other night was to imagine me counting the 84 pills from the 3 bottles. If you think it is easy, try it. It is not. And if you fall asleep, you may thank me later

Something happened with the guns from Gillead. Just checked on Yahoo the shares of Gilead and it is currently at 76.32 USD (I think the lowest value in the last 2 years). If they continue like this, there will be no longer money for buying the ammo.

I understand what you mean, same thing happens to me too. I have my appointment for the VL test next week. Initially I wanted to be precisely after the 12 week ends, but couple of days more will not have a huge impact, especially if the result will be UND.
Are you going to take generic valium or branded one?

According to this article, one noticeable effect was that the patent for Sofosbuvir will probaly expire 4 years sooner (2024 instead of 202:

the tip of the iceberg showed ~450 people being treated till April this year, i.e. in the first 6 months
This was the number communicated at ILC Barcelona for the people enrolled in the REDEMPTION trial.
Since then many others joined and …… think also on the fact that many many other people around the world perhaps were just in a need to find reliable information about generic drugs for HCV, so they came here, read about it, used a legal way to source their meds and got treated. And they are not included in any statistics. So .. my guess goes to a number having at least 4 zeros, but could be even more, 5 zeros and …. if not already, soon we will be talking about 6 zeros.Oh, and all these thousands of people know now about the generics and the “lovely” price of the branded drugs. Multiply this number with at least 20 (at least 20 people around me know the story with Big Pharma and the affordable generic drugs
) and you might also get an impression how many people (with HCV, cured and not having HCV) know about the HCV generic drugs. Cheers,

Somehow it was to be expected that the decision would not directly favor one of the sides.
Nevertheless, looking at the full half of the glass, I would say that the hearing revealed that:
– Gilead tried to obtain more coverage in the field of HCV with the let’s call it, “old patent”. Now the coverage has been restricted.
– The news about Gilead trying to make huge amounts of money (aka GREED) will spread faster in Europe and worldwide.
– Doctors from Europe will hear that in the month of October, in Germany, Doctors of the World spoke about the solution provided by HCV GENERIC DRUGS to treat HCV, thus once more it will be emphasized that the generic drugs are REAL and EFFECTIVE and not ghosts

– BIG PHARMA companies are NOT INTANGIBLE
– The movement started in Germany clearly signals (as in other parts of the world as well) that people started to see the high prices of the drugs as a THREAT to the healthcare systems and may no longer be fooled by the monopoly power granted by the patent.Cheers,

The European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich deals today about the objection to a patent on an effective but expensive hepatitis C drug. The organization Doctors of the World had challenged the patent of a US company for the drug sofosbuvir. The pharmaceutical company failed to formulate an exact formula nor a specific method of production in its documents, argues the organization. The active ingredient in turn had been earlier discovered by other researchers. The high price of the drug is based therefore on an invalid patent.The treatment costs are depending on the country at up to EUR 60 000, according to Doctors of the World. In Germany alone, the health insurance companies are faced with cost of billions. The general aim is to enable the production of inexpensive generics. To the opposition of the organization Doctors of the World have now associated nine generic manufacturers.

thank yoy very much for your wishes, there are only some days left until I will know what I already feel.
In the last weeks I felt very well, no more that discomfort in the right part of the abdomen and …. quite happy and optimist.
Apart from the physical improved condition, it is amazing to see how much the psihic condition changed in good: having trust in the future, no longer under the pressure of having to do “something” to help my liver …. and thinking on long term life objectives. I suppose that what I just described here is the normal welfare that every person is entitled to or should feel… But which I do not remember if and when I felt it last time before the treatment.
I wish you a nice and smooth journey, you have here a lot of friends
