Secondary blood test came back ALT 35 AST 53. I go for a Fibroscan on Jan 29th and should get a prescription on that day. Does the prescription have to be for the generic of can it be for the brand name itself as long as the ingredients and dosage are the same ?

Finished the second GP visit today . He ordered the AST , ALT , Ferritin , (bunch of other stuff that I don’t remember. Went to the lab immediately after for testing , 4 vials and the technician was shocked at the “legit cost of treatment” and thought I was joking until she pulled up the info on her UptoDate treatment screen. 58,500.00 CAD for Harvoni at the subsidized price (for those ineligible for any reductions due to circumstances.).

Liver center called and my apt is for Feb 14 in the afternoon for the fibroscan and DNA and Qualitative baseline testing.

    Now I wait

Have you read the section in this forum on diet (especially supplements) greatly increasing the blood levels of your dosage ? Maybe it is something you are eating or taking that is making your side effects so harsh ?

I hope you get better soon

Nope for Ontario , criterion for possible coverage here :

HBV : exposed , cleared and immune, (co-infection makes you eligible)
HIV : No exposure (co-infection makes you eligible)
Liver : F0/F1 (F2 or higher makes you eligible)

I am just waiting for the liver scan and enzyme test and inhibitor check before ordering from here.

Just read the ingredients of Vegegreens by Progressive and it turns out its a shopping list of contraindicated supplements. I don’t know about other places but this is very common in North America and I just chucked the bottle in the trash after taking it daily for about a year. Yuck , I am not a Mercola groupie but I pretty much blindly fell for the “happy” ads for this product.

I have been self administering Delatestryl (Testosterone Enanthate) 50 18mg X 2 per week to offset a very low T score <3 . I keep it at an average of 14 and it is monitored by my FD every 2 months. I take 50 mg of zinc to offset the E2 excess and have been doing this for 11 years. Before I start on this I had one incident where I was unable to bring a table up 2 flights of stairs and was in a very bad place mentally because of chronic insomnia and constant joint pain. Sex was out of the question as I would look at women then the same way you would look at a really nice power tool or a Harley parked outside , just there and good looking and that was it.

I tested positive for HCV antibodies last week and just had my RNA test this morning so am at the start of the learning curve. The suspected date of infection was about 25 years ago and I have had about 5 months of increasing fatigue and joint stiffness. I am open to any of the Redemption paks and will wait for the RNA to come back and my doctor to decide which is best for a hopeful cure. Would this regime harm my chances at recovery or is this ok? Without test I am a mess and quite honestly was borderline depressed before I started. I use it only to maintain a decent life standard and not for any body building. The frequent smaller doses are used to offset the peaks and valleys that I felt with the larger bimonthly doses. I take HCH 4 times per year to stop my HPA axis from flatlining (FSH is < 1 for example)
