I’ve been thinking that it is important that the media now has the voice of the ‘Generically Cured’ to speak of the process and outcomes.
Let me have a wee think about it and talk it over with my family.Great news enjoy your new freedom from Hep C.
All the best Emilio, I’m sure your going to get much better results this time.
I have been immunised twice for Hep B. Once before travelling to Asia about 10 years ago, and again by the Liver Clinic when my blood tests showed I had no resistance to Hep B. about 3-4 years ago.
My recent bloods showed that I don’t have resistance to Hep B. again. At first the Registrar thought I might have developed an auto immune disease, further tests showed I haven’t. The clinic did recommend that I get vaccinated again quickly. At this stage I’m waiting until I finish my 12 weeks of Sof/Dac. Yesterday I learnt I have no HCV detected. I’m not planning any trips to Asia in the near future. Am I making the right decision?
At this stage the clinic could not give me a reason why I don’t have Hep b immunity.
Can you shed any light on this Dr. Freeman? Thanks Emilio, A little premature I know, but I’m very happy to be in the process of being cured.
Also happy to share the news as encouragement to others.
Though, I did post it under the wrong heading in Redemption trials instead of Patiant Stories. Can I change this?
CheersHi Joy,
It will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow at the clinic.
It’s starting to sound like a daytime Soap Opera! “The Days of of our Livers”Who knows when the DAA’s will be on the PBS. I haven’t seen any media and I’m sure the Government will milk it. Surely Gilead would have to drop it’s price considerably for Australia to afford it.
Stay tuned for the next episode of “The Days of our Livers”
3 weeks and 4 days into Sof/Dac…..Feeling very good. Will get my week 4 bloods done Monday and keep you posted.
Hi Nadia,
I’m on Day 18 of Sof/Dac.
I also have a cold but there are a lot of colds going around at present. My husband has one.
I had a migraine on Saturday which I have I have not had in a while too.
Feeling like i’m on the mend now.
I can feel my liver stinging a bit. My imagination? Doing deep forward bends in yoga, it really felt swollen.
Undeniably there is also a big stress factor taking this on. Not entirely in a negative way, I guess we have to factor this in.
The journey so far has been a bit of a roller coaster for me.
I’m starting to feel a bit more settled now with the routine of it.
I’m trying to take some time to relax, breath and stretch.
all the bestDefinitely Emilio, I was thinking the same. topics go off track very easily. This is understandable though. It’s as if we’re like a dam that has just burst through I big embankment.
I’m guessing like myself, many have been anxious and nervous about the new treatments provided on this site. Getting chatty on the forum is/was a way of feeling out this brave new way of curing and caring for people.
It’s taken me a while to get used to the site too. It’s very well designed but, it’s taken me three weeks to get around to reading the FAQ section. Crazy I know. Luckily Dr. Freeman and the bloggers have patiently answered my questions but I could have taken up less time and space by reading FAQ first. I notice others doing the same. Would it help if FAQ was highlighted in the top bar or incorporated into the blog page.
This is my observation and experience so far for what it’s worth.
All the best,Hi all,
I’m 2 1/2 weeks into Sof/Dac 12week treatment. So far so good.
I’m wondering about times to take the Sof/Dac?
Right now I’m taking both the Sof and Dac together in the morning with a light healthy breakfast.
I saw mention that Dr. Freeman had published a page on this site about foods to avoid when you take your cure.
I can’t seem to find it
I have thoroughly read the “Consumer Medication” directions and they don’t mention diet.I had a similar experience. Ist week the the Sofosbivir smelt toxic. Into the 2nd week I couldn’t smell a them at all.
