Hi Sheriff,
I can recommend the Redemption trials and the FixHepC / MonkMed system. I am clear at end of treatment and am waiting for my 12 week testing to occur. I used GP2U for my prescription which worked very well. MonkMed and their people are very supportive and will not let you down. I wrote a procedure about getting the Meds into Canada to help others out. If you PM me I will send it to you however I do not check this site every day.
The meds are getting into Canada and it is legal. You are not alone with the FixHepcC and the MonkMed people. If you want to get meds and get cured now – I say Go for it.Will
Hi CD,
PM sent to you regarding the procedure.
Thanks for asking a bout an article regarding my experiences and HepC. PM sent about that also.

Hi CD,
I did not get the PM but will check my email address and make sure that it is correct.
I live in Manitoba. My local GP can order all standard blood tests as a matter of course so she did this for me during my course of treatment. I would ask your doctor if they would do the same thing for you. I got tests at 4 and 8 weeks for everything she was allowed to test me for that was applicable to HepC. They cannot prescribe the meds but they can order blood tests etc. My Hepatologist agreed to order the end of treatment tests and the 12 week after treatment tests for viral load etc. He also could not prescribe however I found that all doctors I have talked to in Manitoba sympathetic and appear not to like the system.
I suggest asking your doctors what they can do for you. I came from BC to Manitoba and found that doctors there are very sympathetic.

I have finished my course of treatment using the Sof/Dac meds for the Genotype 2 HepC that I have. The meds were obtained by shipment via FedX courier into Canada using the Redemption 2 trial MonkMed system.
My viral load is now negative and my ALT / AST tests are on the low side of average normal. My 12 week SVR tests are booked however I am very optimistic that I will be done with HepC.
I am very grateful to Tim, Dr. Freeman, MonkMed and FixHepC. Thank You.
It was hard to make the decision to trust people and organizations half a world away with my limited funds and my health however I am very happy that I did. The support and effort the these people put into me was huge. At a time when I needed help they were there for me.
When I get the hard copies of my test results I will be uploading them into the trial results.
If I can help others I will. I wrote a procedure explaining the Canadian Customs / Health Canada system and will send it to those who PM me.

I have imported Sof/Dac into Canada as a member of the MonkMed trial. It was not seamless but I did learn a lot which I passed on to the Tim and the MonkMed team. I wrote a procedure for Canada which they have. It is legal to import the drugs into Canada and with the procedure should go well. If anyone PM’s me I will forward that on to you.
I found MonkMed and FixHepC to be very supportive and professional. I recommend that if you are considering this method of obtaining meds for your HepC that you go for it.
I received my end of treatment test results yesterday for the Sof/Dac Genotype 2 treatment I was on. The viral load is now negative and the ALT AST liver function tests are on the low side of average normal. Yay

Canada allows importation of drugs that are already approved for use in Canada under personal importation regulations for unsponsored foreign clinical trials. Redemption is an unsponsored foreign clinical trial. It is important that the trial be unsponsored because otherwise much paperwork is required. The Redemption trial drugs are already approved for use in Canada. All personal importation regulations apply which means the drugs may not arrive via mail or courier however Health Canada may allow them in using their discretion. In my case the method of delivery was not mentioned and delivery by FedEx was not an issue. Formal proof of entry into the trial may be required.
WillSuccess!!!! I have had my medications delivered by MonkMed. Yay!!! I am from the hinterland of Canada and we had some problems with Health Canada releasing the medications for Customs clearance. Tim, the MonkMed and FixHepC team were very supportive and helpful. At no time did I feel abandoned or on my own. For Canada there is an import regulation that allows importation of these HepC medications if you are in the Redemption trial. The regulation would not work without being in the trial. I needed further documentation that was provided very quickly ( overnight) in order to release the medication. Impressive. I am sure any further shipments of personal trial medication into Canada will enter the country smoothly with the increased knowledge of the regulations and documentation required. if you are Canadian and sitting on the fence I say go for it.
Now to continue my treatment, get a good test and carry on with my life.
Thank You Tim, Andrew and the FixHepC and MonkMed teams.
