oh my lordies, hehe,
Yeh, such a high cure rate and then even if not, diff combo’s to try, it’s amazing, from what I can understand of your profile you are undetected too, and after being sick enough to be in hospital in 1983, isn’t that amazing.
I did interferon in the bush in Tasmania 10 years ago, and I had 2 baby wombats that slept with me (plus 2 cats and a small dog, with another 2 bigger dogs on the floor) So that is where my name came from. The plumper one was called Ruby and the little runt was James…
I had green stains all over me from where they’d pooh but we all just kept sleeping, lol

Hello again everyone
I am still healed at 6 months post treatment now!
Since being cured, I have started a little business, lost 10 kilo’s, well 7, but I like to round it off..
Small things, but i had thought, pre tx, that they were long past & lost for me…
I’m really happy and so very grateful to Dr Freeman for going out on a limb for us all. My friends friend died of Hep C the other day, but so many of us won’t now.

Hi Anna,
I got ear rashes after interferon a decade ago, they have stayed, I always put it down to it being the same time as switching to tanked rain water for everything. But maybe not, maybe it is interferon.
My post tx (this tx) rash cleared up, it comes only very slightly now, but my skins still stuffed in all sorts of other ways.
Pre interferon I had never even had acme, just eczema as a kid, but in the light of being hep c free I really don’t give a rats arse.

Hi Sabre cat
When you get the news it is the most incredible feeling, I was laughing and crying at the same time.. My hands to shaky for the email to type and let people know! It was amazing happiness!
I was like it for a few weeks. Then I did go into a depression over it, but it didn’t last.. with the deeper comprehension I was finally free it couldn’t beat me this time. I am 49 and had woken up with a ticket back into life but with nothing and not knowing where to turn, how to restart , but yeh it just didn’t win, the freedom won. So don’t worry if you do dive a bit, it’s natural.
I didn’t ever feel as if I was waiting, failing interferon was like “ok, I am incurable, that’s my chance used up, it will kill me in time, how do I deal with it” and i couldn’t really. I had trained myself into not starting or investing in anything or anyone as I wouldn’t be here to enjoy it or see it through it became a habit in my approach to life & thinking.. I also became very fat, withdrawn and misanthropic, It was my way for a decade, (since interferon fail) and it’s fairly big thing to change now
But everyone has a few big things in their life, this is one of ours and it’s a very nice one. Like most other people– we too will be ok
I really wish you all the best !!

i don’t think anyone will be able to complain about generics or run them down, we tested in a lab, the drug was the drug it was meant to be, I am well early into the treatment and still after..
Will do more tests and update again later!

yeh i got (am still getting) funny little pimples that really hurt and heal very slow, plus a pimply eczema thing down the middle of face, but they sound mild comp to yours and are manageable with eczema cream. I was also very achey on meds. I was on Sub’ and Dac’ which I finished mid Desember 15
Also after interferon a decade ago I got skin probs that never went away either.

Hi Jolie
Yeh it was nasty stuff, I have a very close friend who also took it, but a trial with much higher doses of interferon. We both often said over the years we felt like something ate our “soul” or “core” lights gone out all that type of feeling… But he still carried on better than I did, he though had been cured.
I was ok pre interferon too, not perfect, but I coped, had jobs, did stuff, wanted things, needed people, even with the knowledge I was hcv positive. I put the post tx downfall down to a combo of a full life catching up to me at a very vulnerable time, plus the damage from those drugs, I withdrew from friends and family, literally became a hermit. Aside from the physical changes, I couldn’t cope with people anymore either. At all. I didn’t bathe or clean my house.. I moved into this house just after interferon.. Today 10 years later, I still haven’t unpacked my stuff.. Just a sense of camping until I died I guess.. I went to a shrink for 2 years after, trying to find a spark again, but it just wasn’t there. And after about 5 or 6 years I just started to try and accept what I had left as my lot and did/do find some very genuine peace in that.
It just dawns on me now I am cured too, it was a very bad case of loss of hope, if interferon didn’t work, then nothing was going to. That’s how it was a decade ago.
Something good started stirring in me again even before I got my hands on sof/dac.. It was Dr Freeman’s news actually being so tangible, close and accessible. And since it has officially gone… I have had flashes back to moods of my early 20’s.. That feeling of what will I do with my life.. but in a good way..
Pretty amazing, I dunno if I will become a super housekeeper and fitness freak or relaunch my old life, lol, but that blankness/pointlessness is gone and i know deep in my bones life is ok again.
