A wee snipet from the article to get yall in the mood. Nice one Doctor F :+1:

Drug companies spending more on marketing than R&D – Freeman

But in Hobart, Dr Freeman can’t contain his anger at the situation that has made the buyers’ club necessary.

“Drug companies need a bloody good wake-up call,” he says. “They spend 19 times more on marketing than on R&D. There are nine different statins on the market, each costs $500 million to develop and trial. It’s likeDie HarderandRocky 9– we are getting sequels. We want new Hollywood blockbusters – we don’t want more sequels.”

Too bloody right they need a swift kick up the arse.

Great cover too. Delivering hope. That opening statement: “it would take a brave doctor to do it”….. not just a brave doctor but a good doctor. We are beyond lucky to have that- but if I was a doctor, I would look in the mirror and say, what am I? I hope this article encourages a few (or a lot) to ask themselves that.
