Just got contacted by an anonymous 'guest' flogging generic meds

Was wondering if anyone else has had this experience.
An anonymous guest identifying him/herself as ‘Vijith’ initiated a private chat with me and offered to sell me HCV meds.

Genotype 1a
Diagnosed in 2004, had HCV for all my adult life. Until 2016!!!!
Harvoni treatment, started 19 March 2016
4 week results Bilirubin 12 down from 14 pre treatment,
Gamma 25 down from 52, ALT 19 down from 63, AST 19 down from 47,
VL <15 down from a lazy 6 million or so

EOT Results
Bilirubin 10, GGT 18, ALT 19, AST 21, VL UND

12 Weeks post EOT
Bilirubin 11, GGT 16, ALT 22, AST 20, VL UND

Yes he contacted me earlier on private chat…said he was from a place in India that made the Hep C drugs and wanted to know if he could help me in any way. I just said I had finished my course of treatment and was just waiting on the final blood test for SVR. He said there were Indian Doctors who could help. Wanted to know where I was from and I told him Australia and then I logged off.

There was a thread here on Wednesday last: “Interior remedies for dry out eyes…..” which seemed to have the same rather odd stuff posted under one name, and that was posted under two other names. All have been deleted now.

Could not understand a word of it and do not know what they were trying to flog.

Seems that this site may be attracting some people that are entrepreneurial types with an eye for making money and not providing anything for their rewards.

My main bitch is that I posted twice on their thread thinking that when I cracked 100 posts I would be come an ‘elite’ member. I did not and when they took down the thread my post count went backwards as well.

You should be rightly suspicious of anyone who approaches you as an anonymous guest. Any verified reputable manufacturer/supplier will be able to give you their member name and direct you to their contact details in the pinned Pharma’s Market section.

– Please tell guests who you see selling/soliciting in public chat that they should contact a moderator for verification.

– If you are approached in a similar manner in private chat please consider naming the guest by their number in the public chat area to alert others including mods.

– if you see a spam type post in the main forum, whether selling something or random and nonsensical, please use the “Report to Moderator” button on the bottom right of the offending post.

I’ve had 2 discussions with him/her advising that its not cool to be floggimg meds annonomously. Advised that pharmas market is where it should be after discussion on site. But he wont do that as there is less chance of being blocked by having a random number each time. Scammer for sure. Em

about the post deletions, but when you delete the first post of a topic, it deletes the whole thing. So, had to cut off the hand to save the arm…
We had a spate of new members posting senseless stuff and with profiles containing a large portion of the words in the English language-probably to get search results. Cosmetics, jewelry, hypno therapy, penis enlargement cream, toenail fungus tx-you name it. One had some “overstock” Herme’s handbags for $34.78 plus s & h. Probably last year’s stuff, but the one with the zebra look was hard to resist. I got the Rolex instead.
Maybe we need a home shopping thread….

I suppose some people associated with a forum going by the handle FixHepC may have – failed the IQ test.

Made me start thinking though, about what having ‘got’ something really is. I know that even with ‘gotting’ rid of it, HepC’s past presence will still show up if anyone who wants a blood test cares to look. For a lot of people it may be tell tale signs in the liver…..

Did you ask this bod whether they had some dormant bug laying around their system? Maybe toe nail fungus, and you could have referred him on to the poster Mike talked about?

Funny how people can start to define each other given half a moment of dumb stupidity.
