    Hi everyone
Last week I was notified of my successful SVR 12. :cheer:
Unless my doc advises it I won’t be looking for SVR 24.
After seeing this result, once the massive grin had faded from my face, i was surprised to find myself quite overwhelmed

Thinking about it, it’s no surprise really. Its been a massive 12 months from finding out that generics were available and someone (Greg Jeffreys) had actually managed to get his hands on some and get cured, to finding out about fixhepto being persuaded to wait for the PBS to starting treatment, finishing treatment and getting the end result and finally being free of this accursed gift that keeps on giving.

This in itself was a huge emotional roller-coaster,but in the meantime you become a different person. Is this the real you? What is the real you?

Not to mention any other stuff that has happened along the way.

Don’t know about anyone else but I would really love to take the rest of the year off, lie under a tree next to the ocean and take it all in (I know my boss isn’t reading this ;) ) but this is not a practical option

It’s going take some adjustment but in the meantime life goes on. Same but better.

Has anyone else felt the same way?

To people that have recently relapsed, I don’t mean to be insensitive. Research is progressing very quickly and it won’t be long until you are also experiencing this privileged problem

    Hi Beaches,

    – the first advice that comes into my mind is to watch dr. Freeman here starting from 4min50sec:

    – the second advice – your battle with hep C is finished, however perhaps your mindset is still “engaged” in the fight with hep C. So the advice would be to truly acknowledge the battle is over and start thinking on the things you wish to do for the future. That’s quite interesting and challenges to think on new goals, whichever you will think of, knowing you do not have to “survive” the HCV bastards. Oh, do not think with regrets on the past history when you were having hep c. This is why I am looking on the treatment for hep C as a personal EVOLUTION (things have changed a lot about how I feel and how I think) :).

Therefore: ENJOY THE LIFE FREE OF HCV !! and MAY ALL YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE !!

P.S. having a 3 months break sitting under a tree sounds like a nice goal. I would make it also if I could :) :P

    Cheers,
    RHF

In fiecare an HCV ucide peste 500000 oameni.Medicamentele generice pentru hepatita C functioneaza. Nu deveni statistica! Cauta pe Google “medicamente generice pentru hepatita C”.
HCV kills more than 500000 people every year. HCV generic drugs work. Don’t become a statistic.

Ha! You understand me, RHF. :woohoo:

The evolution started early on in the treatment, pretty much in line with the increased energy, focus and mental sharpness. You do become a different person. It’s great!

It’s quite interesting to realise how much a whole-of-body (and subsequently mind) disease it is.

No regrets. I didn’t even know I had hep C until 12 years ago. (if my children had been born with hep C that would have been a big regret)

The person I am today is the sum total of all my experiences. No point at all in wondering what if.

May all your dreams come true too.

I did get to sit under a tree and swim in the tropical ocean for a week so that was good. I recommend it

Hi beaches, your news is heartwarming and heartening at the same time for me :cheer:
Heartwarming, because I’ve followed the path you’ve made, swimming along with and at times against the current, (as you mermaids are want to) Through rough seas and calm and I’m overjoyed that you’ve found a safe and welcome cove to spend some much deserved time in.

I’m heartened, because I’ve just gotten past svr4 and I’m feeling clearer and stronger with each passing day. Already I’m doing what you’re doing with mind and emotion  Carrying this monster inside for so long. It trying to rule and define us and ultimately destroy us and then … now … suddenly … it’s gone!!! It’s a weird feeling. Exhilarating… but I can’t help but listen for the sound of it breathing inside me again somehow. Yet I feel great! The future is again a tangible reality … Your expressions have given me even more heart for reaching svr12.
Stay as long as you can in that cove dear mermaid, if you must leave, remember where it is and return often … Congratulations on svr12 … Keep swimming strong, :+1: #love

    Matt

Thank you Matt for that beautiful post. #love #flower
I was not UND at 4 weeks and still made it so you have this in the bag.
The dragon is truly slain. It’s so good to feel clearer, sharper, smarter (last week I did a very demanding training course and totally smashed the exam. A year ago I’d have struggled).
    Onward and upward we fly
