Hi GF,
Just been reading your story.
Have you had any previous treatment in years gone by ?
It looks like Australia is a lucky country.
As you know the Tasmanian connection, GP2U, FIXHEPC BUYERS CLUB & Greg Gefferys .
But now the government has put these hepC meds on the PBS which means that you pay just $6.20 or $36 depending if you're on a pension or working per 28 tab bottle.
Like you, I'm G1a, but my Fibrosis is 3-4 bridging Cirrhosis .
Back in 2003 I was treated with Peg Interferon & Ribavirin for 12 months.
End of treatment I was undetected but relapsed 3 months later.
So I started on Sofosbuvir, Ledisbovir (China) & Ribavirin (India) 22nd October.
At week 4 my LFT's all dropped to the normal range & my PCR was <12 Detected.
At week 12 my LFT's stayed in the normal range & my PCR was Neg Undetected.
So on the 6th April will be the 24 week treatment finished. Yippee.
I wish you all the very best in gaining SVR 12 & 24.

Australia is indeed a lucky country.

I tried Peg Interferon & Ribavirin about 20 years ago, but after one day stopped taking it as I had a horrible reaction. I felt like I was going to die.

The reason I created this thread is not only to document my progress, but make it easier for people to access treatment.

Seeing as it was not Twinvir (it is compounded meds) I'm changing the title. It also might encourage more views. Everyone reading this should also note that the Australian compounders in Pharma's Market section are another source of treatment that can be shipped to other countries, including USA.

G1a dx'd in 1992, Biopsy F2 VL 8mill +. Tried tx with Interferon/Riba, back in 2008 didn't last long it felt horribly ugly!! I stopped tx, after 5 weeks!!
Started tx 6/1/16 with Harvoni.
